Rasta Hmmmmm.....

Ok, so i dont usually make posts...

but f0k!

I need some help!

I have all this money from foreign countries........my grandpa used to travel a lot. Anywayz, I have always wondered just HOW MUCH money I actually have. I have a 1million dollar argentinian peso....now that could be worth 5 cents, but who knows!

so WHERE can I get this all exchanged?

the airport? a bank? wtf! help!

Posted by Floorfiller on Mar-31-2006 16:36:

i don't see why you couldn't change it at the bank. they usually have a window that handles international needs like currency exchanges...

Posted by Mr. Pink on Mar-31-2006 16:37:

Rasta

what kind of bank?

just any run of the mill bank?

Posted by tribu on Mar-31-2006 16:38:

Try a downtown bank.

Please note that alot of South and Central American money has undergone major inflation, then reprinting and revaluation of currency. I have over a million Colivianos, but they were printed in 1970 or so, but Bolivia has changed currencies at least twice since then, so the money is useless. The bank will only exchange money that is still in print/use, the rest is toilet paper or collectible.

currency exchange. or places called "Thomas Cook"

http://www.thomascook.co.in/opencms...x/currency.html

Posted by Floorfiller on Mar-31-2006 16:39:

well just any regular sized bank. if you have a wells fargo close by take it there...i'm sure they'll have one and you shouldn't need an account to do a currency exchange...

Yeah, I figured as much.

and all this money is old as hell. So I don't even know if it's worth it now! haha

Posted by lcid on Mar-31-2006 16:42:

send it to me, i'll take care of it for you and then send you back a personal check.

Posted by tribu on Mar-31-2006 16:45:

Argentina recently had a currency crash but I dont think they've reprinted since the 76 junta?

Posted by stren on Mar-31-2006 16:47:

we have currency exchange points everywhere here. Your best try would be an international airport

Posted by tribu on Mar-31-2006 16:47:

American airports will give you a shit rate. I definitely recommend a banking office and not just any branch

According to the universal currency converter on www.xe.com your 1 mil Argentinian peso is worth 323,451.29 USD

my comission for this info is 10%

Posted by Allied Nations on Mar-31-2006 20:06:

Get rid of that shit quick, the peso isn't getting any more valuable.

Had you exchanged it ~4 years ago it woulda been worth a million dollars.

/pwn't

the bill says...

1,000,000 banco central de la republica Argentina.

Un million de peseos.

with a picture of Gral. (general) San Martin

does this mean im rich?

ps: besides the million dollar peso, i have:

Four 10,0000 dollar pesos.

Nine 1,000 dollar pesos.

A $500, and a $1.
