Where to buy a good Monitor?
I'm looking for a new LCD 19" or 20" monitor, preferebly Widescreen 20-21" since 19" ones are a bit easier to find...
I need something that will last for several years but at the same time have a warranty so when a pixel dies or something I can get the monitor replaced right away.
I've searched FutureShop, BestBuy, CanadaComputers, TigerDirect and I dunno which has the best one
I need it to be affordable and good brand which means around 380-420 for a 20" widescreen... Is there some special places to get this kinda monitor with a 3 year warranty
Please help me out
thanks!

btw, i bought my lcd i think it was 2 years ago at pc village. not a bad place at all. plus they had a rebate going for the benq monitors so that really drew me in.

Yes, get a Samsung.
I've got a SyncMaster 1701MP LCD I bought 2 years ago and it's the best purchase I've ever made.
i have a viewsonic ve700 17" that i bought like 2-3 years ago.. nice monitor but the next one i buy will be samsung.
I absolutely love Samsung electronics, everything.
regarding bad pixels.... No manufacturer will replace a screen for one bad pixel. There's actually an industry-wide accepted amount of bad pizels a panel can have. Each manufaturer does set its acceptability standards, so it varies from one to another. There is no manufacturer that warrantees their panels at 100% perfection.

Dell.ca's having 7 days of sale this week.. Today's the first day.. You might catch a good deal on monitors. I told my sister to get a 17" from dell a couple months back. $240... BUT! 3 year warranty. Manufactured by Samsung and well supported.

I bought a Viewsonic VX2025WM 20" LCD widescreen monitor 2 weeks ago. No complaints. Has good rating, according to some online reviews. $499 plus tax. IMO not a bad price to pay in comparison to compareable models. Here's the store info if you're interested. Good luck.

Although dell.ca has the 7 days of business deals on this week, their new '07 LCD monitors (i.e. 1907FP, 2007FP, & 2007FPW) appear to be suffering from serious colour banding issues.

I wouldn't recommend a Dell for 20" widescreen, unless you can find last year's model (2005FPW) somewhere!
