any of these cd player packages worth buying?
hey guys, i've been making mixes only on the computer for a couple of years now & ive really been eager to spin off CDs for the past year... i ran into a site today that offered a bunch of cd packages... it can be found here: http://123dj.com/packages/cd/index.html
i was wondering if any of these packages would be worth getting? i'd find it convenient ordering everything in one package... BUT some of the equipment offered in the lower price range is some stuff i haven't heard of, which makes me second-guess considering these packages... btw check this package out, http://123dj.com/packages/cd/discomix5.html , says its endorsed by j00f
anyway since i am just starting off, i really do not want to spend more than $1,000 for now... u know, just in case i end up not enjoying djing. so are any of these packages worth getting? or should i press my luck somewhere else and get some used equipment?
for less than a $1000 in a package id probably look at the
-Fusion 818
or
-Stanton CD Pack 1
cool, thanks for the quick response. i'm gonna do more research now on the hardware included in the packages. thanks
From what iv heard dont go for the numark cd players and definitly dont go for the gemsound or whatever they where...
Get two stanton 304s or 303s, they are supposedly good for there price. Then buy one of those new stanton mixers or a cheap denon mixer.
I'd prefer a set of second hand pioneers or denons
ul regret going for numark or stanton. i own numarks and although they are good im lookin to get rid and get sum cdj-200.
a friend of mine has the staton 304s and they skip loads, culd be his cds but it happens alot very annoyin wen ur tryin to record a mix.
How about two cdj-200s and a denon dnx-100.
i don't understand why people even consider buying cheap and obviously shitty gear. it's going to suck. anyone can see that.

ok, i was just curious to see what some of you experienced people would think. punjabi and spirit, you're both totally right. i will probably have a lowsy time if i'm using awful unreliable equipment. i'm definitely better off with some of the higher-quality stuff... i always hear positive things and getting your money's worth with cdj-200s so i will look into them. i will probably order them new since some of the used ones offered on ebay are only $40 or so dollars cheaper. djdeals offers cdj-200s $324 a piece, including shipping which is not a bad deal at all.

for 324 $, you won't get any better CDJ than the Pioneer CDJ-200, and they are enough to be professional.
if you buya pair that would be, 748$
then I would get
Vestax VMC-002 XL you can ask for price, it gotta be around 150 $
Headphones:
Sony MDR-7506
109 $
That would be 1007$, and you get a professional DJ Setup, nothing crappy.
it would be $648, not $748 ^^^^^
which would give him an extra bill for the rest of the goods

heres a killer package: http://www.topdjgear.com/demimapa.html
but, those decks have .1% pitch steps and that mixer has lag issues with the crossfader.
CDJ-200's are a good choice.
Don't buy anything from 123dj, try http://www.agiprodj.com/ . I bought both my CDJ-800s from there.

wow.... i never expected this many responses but i'm very grateful for each one... i already decided that i will purchase cdj-200s for my set of cd players. for mixers, i am still somewhat on the fence... after talking with spirit5 i have decided that the pioneer djm-400 might be the ideal choice for me... either way i will check with agiprodj before making any final decisions since you guys stress that they are the best place to order your dj equipment from... well before i do that though im gonna have to sober up after tonight though lol.... so thank u all and talk to u tomorrow, youve all been more helpful then i've ever expected... thank u so much
