About the gas prices you talked about in the news section : I think the prices in Holland are even worse , we are getting gangraped by the government

I live in Denmark, and here we pay 9kr pr. litre 95 octane. 9kr is just a bit over 1$!!! (1$ = 8kr)
That's just to much!! Nothing to do about it, we're going to exhaust the oil someday anyway, so hydrogen is the only way to go. Only problem is that a hydrogen-drive car is about as expensive as a shuttle, and have you seen any hydro-tanks around???
Gasprices are about 2,69
I think it's equal than a dollar or a bit more

Here in Finland gas is about 1.15 US dollars per litre. As I'm 15 and don't drive a car because of that, I can see some positive things about this. Public transport is faster and cheaper to use than an own car. Public transport is also better for the environment and air quality in cities. Trams and subways are fast and run with electricity. Apart from the diesel busses, there are many that run with natural gas, which don't even give out exhaust gas.
You maybe don't believe it, but I'm not from any hippie family, we've got two cars..
My text maybe doesn't make much sense because I haven't slept last night, it's midnight soon and I must go to school tomorrow. =)

and you're just getting 'raped' by yourselves, remember that the public chooses the members of the parliament!
Hmm... you're right at one point... but the Government puts taxes on every product there is... that's reasonable... but Then , when you want to buy some Gas... you pay for the gas , the taxes and special gas taxes... that's just BullSh*t. But I can't do anything about it... I think noone can , besides the government

Well, i more lucky than most of u ppl here, the gas price ard $1.45 sing dollar(ard US$0.85)per litre of 98 oct. But again, this is consider exp. compared to mine neigbour country, Malaysia, which cost only ard US$0.40 per litre..Lucky i driving a thrifty 1 litre Nissan Micra. Just hope the middle east will raise their oil output...
Hehe, you might think this sound silly, but high gas price maybe force you to drive less. And less car driving is better for the enviromen, or am I just misstaking here? Take a bus, tram or subway instad (not that I do it hehe), and you save your wallet and the world a lot of pain.

Oh BTW, gas price here is about 11.50 NOK, that is 1,25 US$, 1,84 CAD,
3,16 NGL and 0.88 per litre.

I'm never amazed to the ignorance of Americans when it comes to many things, especially on the topic of gas prices. Recently gas prices have substantially risen in the States to record levels and every news agency has been giving the story and public outcry much attention on the news. Everyone is calling prices here outragous and are demanding the government lower taxes, hence prices, or release some reserves.
But what I find funny is that gas prices here, as compared to most foreign countries and historically to our own (adjusted for inflation), are not bad. For example today I paid $2.11 per gallon, which ends up being about $0.55 per liter. I love whenever I get the opportunity to explain these facts to people here who are outraged at the so-called egregiously high prices. They seem to shut up pretty quickly once I have explained that prices are not that bad... yet. Maybe so many Americans should stop buying those damn gas-guzzeling SUVs!
anyone dug up a really old grave?
