Im driving down for this for sure. Freq/James Monro/Phony's/Antix and Emok. It's like a Iboga re-union and i need to be a part of that.

You are driving from Switzerland?

I think Teflon wants to organize a TA caravan, dont you Teflon?

Posted by Virginia_L on Jun-16-2006 03:46:

I would drive up just to see Michael Mayer in action!

Posted by MiSSyM on Jun-16-2006 03:50:

will he have a show on his own or nah?

ive never been Earthcore........heard heaps of stories about it though.....good ones & bad scary ones........

I think if i ever went id really lose it, so better if i dont.

Posted by charlee on Jun-16-2006 03:54:

I was really nervous Mandi but it ended up being the time of my life!! I did lose it though

I slept in the back of a car and woke to the sounds of Tsuyoshi Suzuki going mental!!

Posted by anarky on Jun-16-2006 03:57:

I hope Michael Mayer does a side show...

Posted by Virginia_L on Jun-16-2006 03:58:

Earthcore is alot of fun.. wear runners though!

isnt JOOF on the bill to?? that would be the best place in the world (well oz at least)to see him at his best id rekkin...

EC is not that bad... i remember the time TISM dacked me on stage!! haha oh and having to convince some guy up a tree that gollum wasnt trying to get him! ah yesh good times....

Posted by MiSSyM on Jun-16-2006 04:01:

ahhahahahah yeah it would an experience..........but i think my poor self has been subjected to a lot of fukt up things while out more than a few times, & really believe if I went (after hearing all the crazy stories from it) that id probably go out & buy a shotgun for real.

hahaha but apart from that im sure it would be crazy fun........

didnt one guy was it last year....he got lost from there & someone found him on the side of a road?

SCATTERBRAIN..........

ive never been - might head down this year

The MFA & Michael Mayer will be pretty special. Local lineup on the Sunny stage in support would be just as quality.

Peter Hook would be, um, amusing imo.

yeah organising something i suppose it depends on how many people want to go all i know is i will get there somehow. what kind of licence do you need to drive a motorhome?

they are limiting ticket sales to 5000 due to permit conditions so get in quick before they sell out.

We did it a number of years ago - you just need a normal drivers licence. It was ok, but a little excessive imo (and expensive still). Considering you can't actually connect to electricity it's really just a glorified toilet - that you have to empty yourseld before returning

Teflon spend the money on VIP tickets instead

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Jun-16-2006 04:54:

yeah the times i have been i just took a hammock and tent, if not a motorhome then definitely organising getting one of the those massive open tents just to stay out of the sun. the last time i went i ended up having skin like spiderman because of lying on the hammock and getting sunburnt.

people go insane at earthcore with bringing stuff up, one year i saw people with a generator, a full livingroom setup, decks and their own strobe. it was ridiculous.

they did look like a pretty good deal when they were going for $222. although i do wonder about the free food and grog.

Posted by charlee on Jun-16-2006 05:02:

^^From what I hear it is fantastic

I just find it too hard to plan this far ahead. Concerts in December and November etc. I mean I am organized but that is just crazy

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Jun-16-2006 05:07:

yeah it sounds like a winner although allowing philby to be in a private area with joof might result in a rape charge or atleast indecent exposure

the free massages sound alright as well

Yeah of course stick to you what you know. Ohhhhhh scary people out bush. YOU ARE A PUSSSSYYYYYYYYYYY.

Hair extensions aren't welcome out there anyway.

Its the most commercial bush event there is so its a good intro for anyone who is interested but doesn't want to be thrown in at the deep end.
