Hugeee set man, cant wait to listen to this

Posted by Djs-storm on Jun-18-2006 17:48:

Thumbs up

Been listening for about an hour and a half so far while playing a game. Great set so far! Smooth transitions and love the progressive sound

Posted by isoterra on Jun-18-2006 18:18:

cheers, glad you like it so far evolves quite a bit from the progressive sound later on though!

Posted by Djs-storm on Jun-18-2006 22:44:

259 min into the mix now, working through it slowly heh. gotten into the more trancy music, nice progression into this style, from the slower prog style to the more uplifting trance, transitions are still great from what I can tell

Great set, listened to the whole thing and started working my way through it again. Makes for something great to listen to while you do other things, or play games.

Love the progression from slower beats, to trancy music, to a bit of psy-trance sounds towards the end, it all blends together very well. This must have been quite an endurance test for you heh. Great work!

First few hours look seriously good Some great tracks later on too.

Yup, my connection is gonna get raped tonight.

thanks glad the overall progression worked for you.. that was the main challenge for me since the most i'd done before was 6hrs. and yeah i agree uber-long sets make for good all-day background music

End of the second hour for me

i saw one of those once, feb 2005 it was. i thought he did ok til about 4 but then the last 2 hours seemed to trail off a bit & thought he lost the crowd in places. actually i think that's the only all-night set i've heard (not counting tiesto in concert.. although that was more like lots of short sets) so that was really all i had to benchmark myself on. hope you like it anyway

Posted by isoterra on Jul-20-2006 20:46:

anyone else get round to giving this a rinse?

Posted by KilldaDJ on Jul-20-2006 21:31:

thanks glad it meets your typically high standards!

The first 2 hours are excellent (haven't heard the rest).

Mixing is spot on ... great use of harmonic mixing technique , beatmatching is ok. I've noticed some gain pbs at times but it was overall very good.

As for the tracklist, it's exactly what I'm liking & playing so I really enjoyed the beginning of your set

edit :

4Mal - Twilight (intro mix)
Dousk - Aeon
Josel & Pedro - Waking Life

This part is amazing, tracks flow sublimely into eachother.

I've downloaded this a while ago and have just started listening to it now. When I have the chance I will post in this thread periodically with my thoughts.

1st hour: Zzzz, lol. Sorry but that's how I felt for the first hour. The only highlight for me was the track that started at about the 14th minute mark. The mixing is perfect and everything seems to be flowing nicely. Currently listening to the second hour.

Posted by stevieboy32808 on Aug-10-2006 00:09:

9/10
2nd & 3rd hours: This is a big improvement over the sleepy first hour. I loved the second and third hours, but especially the third because the music was more towards my liking. Besides the shotty transition at the 175th minute there werent any major errors. All in all, great mixing and very good music. Im currently listening to the 4th hour and its smoking! Its even better than the third but Ill let you know the rest of the details later.

i take it you mean 178th and yeah there's a skip in the mp3, i remember getting that tune off rapidshare or somewhere before buying it, but think i burnt the dodgy mp3 to cd by mistake ;/ need to replace it with the proper one

cheers for the review so far though, true the first hour is a little uneventful but wanted to introduce things nice & gently
