IMO - This latest production and remix are quite different from the "Angello Sound" (Swedish mafia sound?) that we've become accustomed to.

RJ is sold. I really like how these tracks sound.

More glitchy, hick-uppy, tight & compact tunes please!

Keep it up Steve Angello!

So this is Minimal then?

Cause both those tracks are boring imo. They start off decent, but there's no development at all. Meh.

meh to his new stuff

actually meh to his older stuff too

he was always my least favorite of that whole swedish crew! i liked some of ingrosso's stuff BUT

seriosly lacking development...maybe to start a set off theyd be okay, i suppose, depends on the following track, and youd have to mix out either of these tracks soon after the start, but these are not even Filler...

one track i like by angello right now though, is:
Who's Who - Not So Dirty (Steve Angello Original Mix)
^Available on beatport.com

sounds like early 90s detroit techno to me..... i like... but richie is the king when it comes to detroit techno

I like em. They're decent minimal-tech house tunes. Nothing special though...Angello needs some lessons from Troy Pierce.

i never thought id see that style referred to as house

I love Sexy F*ck, but I prefer the original one better...it's much dirtier. Angello's mix is still good though...but I agree with Dima...a bit boring. I'm not sure I would want to hear it in a club.

hehe...agreed!

Props to the guy for experimenting - his earlier sound that made him famous was getting too predictable - but this is what happens when DJs who play/produce one sound and then move to another - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

This isn't minimal to me, this is a house DJ trying to incorporate the successful elements of his house productions with the popularity of minimal, and not doing very well at it.

Who's Who = Steve Angello

like that be a wikkid track to play in a lounge were ppl are chilling talking and being social but to dance to and to call it house i disagree strongly there ...... i'm so disapointed with steve for these tracks and i might have to drop him from being my 2nd fav dj if this continues

Posted by rabbitjoker on Jul-04-2006 16:13:

Good feedback/comments.

Albeit the tracks may not yet be "up to snuff" with some of the more established producers of the sound - I like the direction he's going.

And BTW - this music sounds outstanding in a club.

I'm a fan of the sweedish house mafia sound.

If the sound system is top notch.
It makes me sad to hear minimal DJs playing on brutal sound systems...it ruins the whole experience.
