I was there, but I am not sure how Scumfrogs set was. I go to Zone for the women, not the music.

You need your head examined.

Zone is not nearly half as bad as what ppl make it out to be. But then again i was informed by many that it was a rather quite type of day. Scumfrog played awesome. First time seeing him but for sure not last. Nothing is more fun to watch than Dekoze jumping around in the dj booth and uber ch00n fest being delivered from the speakers.

I saw him at Pasha in NYC on Friday Night for a little bit. He was good. Having alot of fun. They were doing a football theme, He was wearing a referee's jersey.

Not bad, some tunes were kinda bland, others were dirty as hell.

The club itself is pretty interesting.

Was hit with a 'wall of heat' upon entering, and was soaked within minutes, but congregated at the spot on the dance floor where a small breeze was detectable.

Yes, Scumfrog definitely brought his A-game, and that was the consensus from everyone. Nothing but dirty goodness the entire time. No drum pad or mic used (as seems to be the norm now for his CoZo visits). Some notable tracks were the Led Zeppelin tune, "Light and Shade" (What a tune!!), "Beat as One", and a brief appearance of "Music Revolution". There were more tunes I recognised but dont know their names.

Sketch factor wasn't too bad (that is, if you don't count Skipper ). OMG, she was too funny!!! Asian guy on the dance floor bustin out the big dance moves was a riot. RJ- want a mint?

After the world cup match, we picked Jesse up from his hotel and took him down to the Promise party at Cherry Beach, which was a fun time indeed.

It's true, I like to be funny.

She had a couple of gigs in Cancun on the weekend and couldnt make it back in time. Think Nathan filled her spot.

Scumfrog came and Scumfrog delivered....what else needs to be said.

Guv > Zone for sketchyness

Posted by Skipper on Jul-10-2006 14:49:

What?! no way. the zone is still the sketchiest venue I have ever attended. I got to see someone vomit on themself!!

I must have mistaken soooo many people for other people during my time there, one of them was scumfrog himself I think - I started talking to him thinking it was someone else making a total fool out of myself. I mistook shanny for cale, someone else for dj sketchbag. I also remember holding on to margaret for dear life quite a few times (as I expected I would).

at least now I can say i've been there, done that.

Posted by Sasha on Jul-10-2006 14:59:

^^ no offence, but according to what u just said... it's you who was sketched out not the crowd

damn. i wish i was there

I am not sure if it is the sketchiest venue I have ever attended, but it is up there on the list. Many things were going on there sunday that were damn sketchy, but I have to tell you I have been there on worse days.

Now just a little tip for those of you who have not been to cozo or are fairly new to going....

DO NOT HIT THE PATIO THE MINUTE YOU GET IN THERE, YOU WILL NOT GO BACK IN. AND IF YOU DO BACK IN IT IS WAY MORE SKETCHY CAUSE YOU CAN'T SEE SHIT.

This was the mistake I made on Sunday morning. I have been to this place more then enough times and I know that I should not have done it but I did. I could not bring myself to go back in there, the sketch factor just kept rising all morning on the patio and still could not do it. It was not fun.

Scumfrog was great...
much better than last time he was here, this set was very reminiscent of the first time he was at the zone, high energy right from his first track.
Last week Desyn played well, but didn't recognize his atmosphere and was not appropriate, this week Scumfrog played well and recognized his atmosphere perfectly.

Nice having so many people there yesterday too, I think it was the first time that everyone who said they were going to come actually came.

It was also the second hottest day I've ever had in there, not quite as bad as last year on Canada day, but it was damned close.

Regardless, another successful day at the zone.

Scumfrog's set was significantly better compared to the last time he played this venue. He seemed to have a better read on the crowd and everybody was diggin' the tunes.

CZ was unusually tame Sunday morning (and tame from the start, totally unrelated to Scumfrog's performance)... The (usual) CZ "tension" didn't seem to be in the air that day (which is unfortunate because that tension is one of the things that makes CZ so unique/enjoyable).

Overall a great morning out with a great bunch of friends. I had a grrrrrrrrrrrreat time. I'm glad everybody enjoyed the mints and breath spray.

Check your frown at the door.
I CZ.

haha, but if I was the sketchiest one, I wouldn't have thought everyone else was sketchy.
there's throw-up-on-yourself sketchy and then there's funny messy sarah sketchy.
Nat, again I apologize for how many times I touched your boob.
