DJ Sammy looks like he'll be there.

srsly, for trance, Judgment Sunday on Aug. 27th @ Eden looks cool. It's got Christopher Lawrence and Randy Katana.

trance in ibiza is as dead as my pet cat

Cream, Judgement Sundays and Armada are the trance nights you need to be attending, and Ibiza Spotlight party calendar is the only thing you wanna be looking at, print it off and take it with you! I printed 5 for me and my mates and I might not have seen them half the holiday, but we all had an ace time

There are good nites and good DJ's to be seen even if they are few and far between. But Ibiza was always house orientated anyway. So theres nothing new there

i fkn hate house, not so much hard house but house on its own is a bit boring, funky but boring. lacks that techy side of trance

ah well, i'll still spin trance from like '99

LOL.

Thats a given, almost every bar and nearly every club night is a variation of house music.

no it isnt. im only back about 2 weeks and eden, es paradis, cream even bar m and places in the west end were banging out trance. house is mostly in privilige and el divino and on the east side of the island.

I think Above & Beyond regular in Ibiza. (even AVB sometimes)

I always though Ibiza was THE place for trance?

Posted by el gringo on Jul-24-2006 11:00:

Here are the trance parties in Ibiza:

Cream @ Amnesia
Armada @ Amnesia
Judgement Sundays @ Eden
Gatecrasher Classics @ Eden
Dj Sammy @ Es Paradis (not to be missed )
Xtravaganza @ Privilege
Mondo Sessions @ Love
Invasion Eden

The djs are:

Paul van Dyk
Paul Oakenfold
Gareth Wyn
Marco V
Eddie Halliwell
Ferry Corsten
Armin van Buuren
Above & Beyond
Adam Sheridan
Markus Schulz
Remy
Ronald van Gelderen
Dave Pearce
JFK
Riley & Durrant
Simon Patterson
Vicky Devine
Judge Jules
DJ Sammy
Alex Gold
M.I.K.E.
Sander Van Doorn
Scott Project
Nick Warren
Harry Lemon
Solarstone
Airbase
Darren Tate
Dj Shah
Mike Koglin
Pedro del Mar
Matthew Dekay
Giuseppe Ottaviani
Agnelli & Nelson
Thrillseekers
Ronski Speed
Solarstone
Perry O'Neil
Binary Finary
Adam White
Alex Morph
Gareth Emery
Rank 1
John O'Callaghan
Randy Katana
Matt Darey
K90
Jon O'Bir
Marcel Woods
Russ Edwards
John 00 Fleming

So YES Ibiza is still a great place for trance. Cream and Armada are the crasiest, Amnesia is the best venue.

BUT, there are a lot of wildest parties in Ibiza if you like house, tech and minimal:

Cocoon
Pacha every night
Carl Cox sessions
Meganite
Circo Loco
We love Sundays at Space..........

IBIZA IS THE BEST PLACE TO PARTY IN THE WORLD.

dead. more dead than skiffle.

but what im getting at is ok what caused the ibiza trance scene in 99 to suddenly explode into the mainstream?

why doesnt that happen every year?

i mean i dont hear any banging trance/house tunes in or near the charts, but in 1999/2000 i heard quite a few tunes

whats changed?

Posted by Ryarni on Jul-24-2006 19:55:

Everything changes, you want trance to sound like '99?! surely it would be major boring if everything sounded the same asit used too. People need to move on..

Posted by NetX on Jul-24-2006 20:50:

still someone stuck in 99...

kiddo, you were twelve back then. dont tell me that you were _totally_into_trance_

what music style is ibiza about?
fucking doesnt matter.
ibiza is ibiza.
and looking around from the balcony at cream or armada or at the judges... na, trance on the island is far from dead...
