A tribute to... Dominik Eulberg on Livesets.com right now! no need to register to tune in.

After a few weeks with special re-lives, it is once again time for one of our most popular show, the tribute show. This time we pay our respect to Germany's minimal hero, Dominik Eulberg.

Dominik Eulberg was born 1978 in Westerwald, Germany.
He now lives in Bonn. There he is
Dominik Eulbergs biography seems to be quite a typical story of a musically talented boy. Dominik was born in 1978 in Westerwald, Germany. He started playing at the age of 15, to finally see his first album Flora & Fauna on 3rd and 5th places of German recaps of 2004. He was also nominated for the German Music Awards in the categories Best Remix and Best Newcomer

He now lives in Bonn. There he is studying biology and geography and sometimes works as a nationalpark ranger. His music and his live is linked very close with nature.

So be sure to tune in, this Friday at 12:00 CET for some amazing minimal tunes!

The schedule for the first part of the show:

12:00 Dominik Eulberg at Big City Beats (06-05-2006)
13:00 Dominik Eulberg at 10 Days Off (23-07-2005)
13:25 Dominik Eulberg at Ablak-A-Dubra (24-09-2005)
15:30 Dominik Eulberg at Gottingen (26-11-2004)
16:40 Dominik Eulberg at YouFM Sounds (21-07-2005)
17:40 Dominik Eulberg at Moving City (08-13-2005)

i dunno if it was posted before

"This is just an idea of mine that began a few months ago. I have lots of old mixtapes but no longer use my walkman. I figured I should start digitzing them so I can listen to them on my Minidisk Player or burn them to DVD and listen at home again. They are mostly Techno but there is some chicago stuff interspersed throughout for good measure. All of these tapes were from either Local Toronto DJ's or were recorded at parties which took place in Toronto."

i just downloaded Carl Cox "Live @ Utopia 1996" A & B from there

Dj Murphy tribute on Livesets.com this friday

Can't wait... I've been bugging them about this one.. hehe

After many pleads from various LiveSets members, we decided it is time for Brazil's most popular techno DJ, DJ Murphy.

Marcos Santos aka Dj Murphy is often acclaimed as the most technically skilled current techno DJ to emerge from Brazil. This guy headlines the main techno raves in So Paulo and everyone who has a chance to listen to his devastating legendary trademark mixes understands why he is one of the most in demand DJs in Brazil - don't be surprised to see how he expresses his perfect skills on three or four decks. If you have never seen a technohead doing the mixing, tricks and scratches in an astonishing level of quality comparable to the likes of Dave Clarke, Cristian Varela and Space Djz, you have not heard DJ Murphy spinning yet.

Along with his mates Ana and David (Kne'Deep's Pet Duo), he takes up residence on fridays at A Lca, a very good reference club in So Paulo. He also had a chance to be the only DJ from Latin America spinning at the 2001 World Electronic Music Festival, in Canada; people loved his mix, which led him to do an extra three-hours presentation on the day after. As Murphy continues to affirm his position amongst the heavyweights, we keep affirming that he is a treasure who will certainly be discovered soon by the rest of the world. Murphy displays the skills that very few in this planet possess. Currently spending some time experimenting with his studio equipment, he has already released some of his tracks - "Afinidade", on Brazil's Amp Mtv Second Compilation (alongside tracks such as Mau Mau's "Space Funk" and Renato Cohen's "Pontap") and "Non Sense", on an independent Brazilian label called Brasil Com S.

Both won him support from the brazilian medias leading music publications, websites and DJs alike. Murphy, both djing and producing, is a synonym for excellent hard techno peppered with groove and funk. Just welcome his productions into your case. Let him add a piece of his vibe to the energy that flows through the crowds you pull.

So be sure to tune in LiveSets Radio, this Friday at 12:00!

came across this news earlier... niiice.. considering I will be there next year this sounds like it will be worth checking out!

COCOON going to the Netherlands!

"After Cocoon's European Club Tour of 2004, the organization has decided to expand its franchise again by starting new Cocoon nights at fixed locations in various European countries. The concept will kick-off in The Netherlands on October 20th at the Amsterdam indoor beach location The Sand.

Over the years, Cocoon has been evolving from a club concept to a respected organization in the music industry, focusing on a wide variety of activities in the field of profound electronic music. Founded by Sven Vth, the organization grew out to become a key player in dance music, featuring a record label, the club in Frankfurt, Cocoon tents at various European summer festivals including Nature One, Awakenings and Tomorrowland, a booking agency and a club night at Amnesia in Ibiza.

With big names such as Ricardo Villalobos and new talent such as Chris Tietjen signed to the record label, the organization has managed to create a unique trademark that has been of major influence on today's electronic music scene in general and the minimal scene in particular.

The Cocoon night at The Sand will be hosted by Cocoon's masterminds: Ricardo Villalobos and Sven Vth team up for 8 hours of ' Gude Laune'. Tickets will cost 27,50 in presale."
