Nape Piercings
I'm planning on getting one likely some time this week but I wanted a little info first ie. how hard are they to maintain, what are the chances of migration and is it worth the money or will it likely migrate within say six months or less.
Any other info is good too, I just want to make sure I'm not wasting like $100 on it.

Tom is awesome...he can answer all of your questions (and I'd highly recommend him as a piercer)

ewwwwwww, don't do it!
^^^^^^^^^OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWwww
turns me on.

Why? You wanna look cool?
I'm all for surface piercings but this one doesn't appeal to me much. On the good side of it unless your hair is long enough (or not kept up) there is not going to be much irritation from clothing to bother it especially during the healing process.
Check out http://www.bmezine.com and read up on people's experiences. I found whenever I got a piercing I got as educated as possible. Remember though surface piercings always have a higher chance of rejection.

Pretty sure over time, all surface piercing will slowly grow out. I believe thats what Shane (the owner of The Alternate Native piercing shop) told me, but I may be thinking of somthhing else.
Not that it'd be much of an issue, like who cares if you got one, but it took 2 years (as an example) to grow out - that's still a good two years of cool piercing-ness!
Can leave a pretty bad scar though when it rejects. Given the nape is such a visible area that may just suck ass.

| Originally posted by Blue. I know it's worth paying a lot for a piercing, I wouldn't go to another place just because it's cheaper, I was just wondering if it was in fact worth the $100 in the sense that it will last at least a year or so. |

I went to New Tribe for my last two piercings and so far so good with them and I've heard good things from everyone who's gone there before so I trust that they'll do a good job with my piercing. Chances are I'm going this upcoming weekend to get it done, unless I find a reason not too, ie. they suggest I don't go to Guvernment on sunday |
got mine at new tribe 100 , loving it but its alot of work meaning u gotta clean it religously especially the first couple of months, its not painful. thinking of getting a second one below, however it doe grow out a little bit so i would get a longer barbell then go down when it grows out alot

hahaha omfg!! lol
nape is back of neck and migration u mean like rejection? get it done then switch to riboplast it is flexible but dont do it for like atleast 4 months it's a plastic.
ps/ lemme know how it felt i wanna get one there right under my nape tattoo hehe
