Most important/expensive thing you've had stolen from you.
Recently I had a very nice watch stolen from me @ work, and just last night, the bike wheels on my brand new bike stolen while my bike was locked up outside my apartment.
I feel pretty stupid for not being more diligent in locking up the wheels and keeping the watch on at all times while at work. but I just never really expected someone would snatch up a coworkers watch, I guess.
What stuff have you had stolen that really pissed you off or upset you? Did you ever get it back? Did you ever find out who stole it?
My motto for today is...people suck.
my self-esteem.
everytime i get it back it seems to go missing very shortly thereafter.
aww Sarah ... sorry to hear hun.
about 2 years ago i had my computer stolen from my apartment in Miami. the guy didnt take anything except for my computer
. never got it back nor did find out who took it. although i am convinced it was someone who knew that i have alot of important stuff on my comp and its worth more than anything else in my home lol. i felt like my whole world had ended. you feel pretty shitty knowing that someone has the power to just come and take whatever it is that they want and you have worked ur ass for it
Most expensive/important: my bike, out of my garage. Left the garage open for half a day while i was inside, and someone went in and stole the bike.
Most annoying: calculators in school. It sucked having to buy scientific calculators time and time again.
my complete stereo system in my last civic hatchback... that sucked royally.
1)my sanity.
2)whole shipment of lipservice/tripp clothing
3)my 'stamp' collection. (handed down from great grandfather-grandfather-father-me, easily worth 10k+)

Had my entire house cleaned out three times back where i used to live, in canada i think only a jacket, probably like 50$
I had bought a bike this past March 31st. By the beginning of May, it had been stolen. I spent almost $700 on that blasted thing, and some fuckwad stole it.
It was the first thing I had really ever bought for myself that was worth a bit of money, and I was so excited about getting it, I had signed up for a womens biking team and everything. When I found out it was stolen, I was so upset and angry I think if I had seen the thief, I would have beaten him with the broken lock he cut in half.
I have had my wallet stolen, I have had a shoe (ONE SHOE!!) stolen, I have had money in my room stolen, I have had clothes stolen, I have had my very first real bike when I was a kid stolen, and I had a bracelet my grandparents bought me stolen (worth a lot.)
The bizarre thing is, I have always been pretty careful with my things. I never take valuable things with me where it can easily be lost of taken. My bikes were locked; one was picked, the other was cut in half. My shoe... well that was just fucked up. The kicker is that I grew up in a single parent family, so we were poor. I didn't get nice things very often, and it seemed like anytime I did, it would get taken from me somehow.
I know for sure one thing, if I find the cockbag who stole my bike, I will be sure to make him pay out of his ass for doing it.

I must be really fortunate...cause I can't recall anything important that's ever been stolen from me ( but I do tend to lose a lot of stuff on my own
)
oh and...
