Right, we are onto CD7 now and need a theme for it.

I thought a pre-millenium classics but enough people spat out there dummies I deleted the thread.

So please post your idea's for the theme.

Also, please post the reasoning behind it or if you think the series should end here.

If you can't find a new theme, I don't think it's reason to end it.

just do it Freestyle, it will always bring new stuff.
if not then choose a theme, no need to end the series.

So far, I think the regulars have done a good job of keeping the flow for any theme we choose. So I am thinking a free-for-all again. As long as enough of the usuals are enlisted it should be bangin'

I hope you weren't too upset mate about our comments. There is nothing wrong with classics but we already had one so we just suggested something else. There's no need to stop the series because of that.

As for CD7 I prefer a free for all as well. We all got different styles but still we can keep a nice flow and CD5 was great.
Though it doesn't have to be FFA always, a theme is fine too.
A vocal only or dirty house or techno mix or something like that.

I wouldn't mind a vocal only one.

Yea, I'm liking the idea of vocal only mix. We haven't had many vocal tracks in the global excursion series so far, so I think it would be a nice change.

Posted by MoN-SooN on Sep-25-2006 19:12:

yeap, I'm liking that idea.

Not my fav kind recently, but I was deeply into vocal trance the other day.

Posted by evelon on Sep-25-2006 23:44:

heck yeah, Vocal only, I'm down for that.

Posted by DJ Nickazz on Sep-29-2006 11:51:

Bump

So what's it gonna be, a Free For All or a Vocal only?

Posted by isoterra on Sep-29-2006 15:56:

my selection of vocal tracks is somewhat limited but i'm willing to give it a go if everyone else is up for it

I have very few vocal tracks either, I just gave some examples
But I will find something, probably will be something well known though.

I think ffa is cool, it allows for picking the best track you know to fit the set, and for diversity; 1 hour+ of vocals could be overkill. Ffa still allows for vocals here & there. Either way, I'd really like it to be trance

Progressive House because there hasn't been one yet.

Where do I sign in? Let's have a signup thread, I'm sure there'll be structure in the mix. You guys are great DJ's, the GX mixes are GOOD, with global effort; I don't know of any other project that unifies global track selection by DJ's fundamentally worldwide, with solid mixing, made by people with an expertise in some part of EDM, mostly trance here. If a very well mixed and nice CD were to come out of this, it would be special. I hope there are enough DJ's at TA to make it work. Only one way to find out, publically at least. Apologies to anyone who may have perceived these Global Excursion threads as thread pollution, they should consider that ANYONE can add, that's why it's on public forum. And since they are TA and have interest in mixes...
So why not make another CD??

Posted by mr2gti on Oct-18-2006 18:16:

OK, there seems to be a hardcore 5-6 DJ's into this series, and that ain't enough.

So i'm not going to continue this.

Thanks for all the effort in the 6 CD's we did. Top job folks.

Posted by isoterra on Oct-18-2006 18:32:

i say we do a rogue outbreak featuring only the regulars, two tracks each

I'd be more than glad to help out and contribute to the next mix if you need more people.

I don't feel like stopping I enjoyed it so much.

we need to revive these global excursions! BUMPPPPPP

Posted by Allied Nations on Jan-17-2007 05:14:

I'd do it, but I don't spin trance.

Bah, lets go all-out and make a mix with no rules & boundaries! We have a lot of talented guys on here that have a unique and eclectic taste in music. I definitely think this would make for a one-of-a-kind mix if we gathered the right people

I agree, but it's going to be kind of silly if the person before me is spinning at 140 or something...

ok you win this round, i concur with your post. maybe some boundaries would need to be placed lol

Just one boundary. Let the mix be one genre like most of the series were. That would eliminate the randomness.
