Big Day Out 2007
well the first announcement made today;
here's my rundown/opinion:
Tool (USA) would only see for the experience - that is, the drumming and full on sound.
Muse (UK) worth seeing, even if the latest album is well overdone.
The Killers (USA) fuck off, you guys sound like meatloaf.
Peaches (Canada) she would be pretty funny
Violent Femmes (USA) no.
My Chemical Romance (USA) my fringe is no longer long enough.
Spank Rock (USA) worth seeing, but got no idea beyond 2 singles ive heard
Jet no, not now, never. just die already.
Eskimo Joe see Jet.
Scribe (NZ) whatevs. you made one good track that was used for A-league promotion.
The Sleepy Jackson yes, worth seeing indeed.
Evermore (NZ) see Jet. actaully, worse. Fairy retards.
The Herd Aussie Hip Hop is a joke, but you guys made one or 2 good tracks. Still a no tho.
The Spazzys Please die. Now.
so unless there is more good Aussie bands playing (not Wolfmother), I might go.
What about you tranceheads?
meh x 10

Been following the rumors and a fair few of them seem to be true. Was hoping the chilli's might get guernsey.
Tool is enough alone alright, Muse would be good but they sure need another massive band to get me to pay for it. The Killers i don't mind but not the right place to see them, bettwer off at a side show not the big open space of the BDO.
Melb is at Princes Park again next yr, shame but I guess they don't want thousands of emo kids destroying the pretty new showgrounds
Will definitely be there again
Are you serious? Besides TOOL, that's the shittest lineup I've ever seen!
BDO has lost the plot!
Where are all the real quality metal bands like there used to be!

Never been to one before so I'm going to go. Couldn't care less about who's playing but Tool will be good
gumble you've expressed my thoughts.....the lineup is well....shit
now I wish wolfmother were rocking the shop
BDO's are fun, but the line up i couldnt care less about.
what about the boiler room!

Tool are great
the others are shite
yeah the line up is a dissapointment
maybe the second announcement will have the goods? there have been rumours of guns n roses even :O :O and tenacious d (who will be touring here at that time also... so..)
but rumours are just that, *rumours*!
and would be unusal for big name to be in second announcement but we shall wait and see..
yeh i think Gunners are coming out, but not too sure if they'll be at BDO!
hahah Tenacious D.......is that the band Jack Black is in....
hahaha

muse pwn - magical live
tool will be kool
and i like black fingernails, red wine =)
One word. Tool.
Couldnt give a fuck about the rest of em. Would rather see Tool than any dance artist, hands down, they are the the shit. Cannot fucken wait for this, i nearly swallowed my own toung when i found out they were comming. Fuck yeah!!

I only see one emo band on that list? So why would there be heaps of emo kids there? When they have Taste of Chaos festival etc.
I didnt say the lineup was entirely shit, there are some good bands on there.
But the thing with festivals is that you get people that go "for the party" and dont understand or know who is playing.
I hate those people. The reason I'm not a big festival fan.
And Tool fans; Music for the social retards. I'm not saying Tool is bad musically (and production is awesome), but their fans are f'ing crazy. (see above post by some dropkick)
ps. Missythingy; the spazzys will never be forgiven for thier cover of my boyfriends back. shit song that should be buried. along with them.

i know many fans of those bands... and yes they are crazy, but in a different way. Tool fans have a certain persona about them.
i do orrite socially and i still appreciate the big riffs and chord progressions of tool.
(but muse are betterer)
so yeah. that post was pointless
haha gumble, so you know each and every TOOL fan?
