Unhappy Trance is Dying???!!

Was sup everyone im writing this now and Im in deep sadness. I know this maybe the wrong forum for this topic but I wanted the Trance producers to answer this Topic or Question. My Concern is that I began to take care of that the trance scene around the world is dyinnnnng!!! Its really sad that this type of EDM is dying. You will ask urself why am I saying that ,this is because Electro is tacking the lead now from Trance. This is wut I especially feel. Producers like Alex morph ,Rank 1 and PvD are doing Electro music or remixing on this style. We can see this in Life less ordinary and the new PvD remix of Deepche mode. When I began to ask some people about this I had two different replies as follows:
One said: Trance is for kids so when you grow up like 18 years and above you will begin to listen to Progressive!!!
-Which is a shitty reply -

Others said: Trance is connected to XTC ,so XTC was the leading drug in the last 5 years and now as there is other drugs out there and XTC is not more the leader
Anymore in Clubs!!!
- I hate to connect Music with Drugs -

So guys as I said Im writing this here to ask u guys Tracne producers will you go with the wave and change ur style and will producers like Super8 and Guissepe Ottiviano and others go with the Flow or What da hell is going out there???.Or im just too sensitive and nothing will change?

Trends come and go, because people like new things and get bored with old things, and music industry strives to find the next big thing with which to make money. Trance became trendy and I think that's not going to last forever. That doesn't mean it will die, but its popularity and status will probably decrease. Having said that, it's too early to make any sure conclusions about the future of trance.

Posted by echosystm on Oct-14-2006 12:55:

The trance sound got thrashed, there's nothing left.
You can only hear so many supersaws... :P

I remember sitting in my room with a PVD set on getting goosebumps it was so good. Trance hasn't given me, or most other people, that feeling for the last 2 years.

The end.

Posted by BOOsTER on Oct-14-2006 13:02:

actually I don't get how can you people react seriously on a "trance dying post #312345646789798794231213131313465465464"

there will pop even more tomorrow, next week, month, year etc...

in 2089 there will be another topic with "trance is dying" and another person who'll reply "yeah, it's dead tiesto killed it back in 2003"

Posted by echosystm on Oct-14-2006 13:22:

lol, werd

i plan to never do it again
this is my first time...

Posted by BOOsTER on Oct-14-2006 13:37:

*sings Markus Schulz's first time

it was my first time
first time
it was my first time
from here

It was a stolen moment
my senses taken
no misunderstanding
could be declared
countless stories
a new beginning
the journey started
from here

what a stupid thread. trance has been dying since 2001 and its still here and the top djs in the world are still trance djs.

why do these people continue to ask stupid questions?

Posted by Synchronicity on Oct-14-2006 14:30:

Tiesto killed it then Ferry shat on it +1.

What difference does it make? The beauty of being a producer is that you can continue to make tracks YOU like.

Unless you're wanting to make money from it of course...

Producers make music they like, people listen to music they like. If trance is dying, that means people have found something better, simple as that. All music evolves, it never dies. Every musical genre has evolved into something new, but the influence is never forgotten.

I really like trance, and I've been listening to it since I was 13 (ironic point: I am now 18 years old...). I am, however, finding that I like progressive trance better, and electro house, music with the amazing melodies of trance music, but the heavy drum beats of house. For me, it's the best of both worlds. Sorry to hear that you do not agree. But no one is going to forbid you from listening to your favorite traxx from '98-'04, alot of people like that music, just like a lot of people like '70s Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Great music, that changed the face of rock music forever.

Nothing in the world is constant.

The majority of trance fans - don't leave out the operative word. I'm sure that the majority of Air America's fans would have voted for them too.

Bingo. As soon as trance became synonymous with supersaws, it died.

but if the majority of trance fans outweighs the majority of other genre fans then it clearly is the most popular and therefore far from dead.

Er, outweighs how? By virtue of the fact that you give more weight to their opinions than anyone else?

the majority of people like trance 'judging by the poles' so how am i giving weight to the 'trance is dead' supporters? the only people who think trance is dead are those who dont like it or who dont like music unless its constantly commercilised.

you cant say that only trance voters 'vote' that is utter nonsense. when the voting comes there is clearly a majority fan base against any other genre whether you like it or not its true.

Posted by TaylorR on Oct-14-2006 17:51:

i don't think trance is dying. it never will because there will always be people producing it (*cough cough* substorm ) . but i think that the listeners are starting to realize that there is more than just trance that they actually like listening to.

Posted by BOOsTER on Oct-14-2006 17:54:

now can we end up this stupid discussion?
