it really sucks.

It can not be compared to GU Toronto cuz that is like one of the best compilations EVER !!

The first CD really did not do it for me but the second cd is pretty good, more SHARAM style

GU29 is based on what he played down in Dubai...and most of the tracks on the album beeing played frequently by sharam.

But I agree that Sharam without Dubfire is different. Especially his mixing style.

Because it's not deep dish anymore ?? it's not even Sharam anymore

Seen the duo a couple of times over the last couples of years and now they play trance. the mere fact that Gu had to make an album with trance shows something.

I've LOVED deep dish sonce 1996 but now ... deep dish is dead.

And don't say that it's because ali wasn't there ali is crappy even today.

I can predict the future and I know where this thread could possibly be headed.

GLOBAL UNDERGROUND NEWS

"
WE always like to do things differently, move forward, says Sharam from Deep Dish. Right now were going to challenge ourselves by doing two projects on our own. Which is why, inspired by the success of the individual Afterhours mixes which accompanied their Toronto set, Deep Dish are releasing two solo Global Underground albums.

Sharams CD is first, with a stunning mix based on the raucous set he rocked Dubais sumptuous Trilogy Club with. He chose Dubai the Arab Miami - because its a new cosmopolitan hot spot and is near enough for their legion of Iranian fans to fly over. Global Underground Dubai is out now. Sharams Deep Dish partner Dubfire follows in February 2007 with a set based on a storming set that had Taipeis Luxy Club on fire.

And in a few weeks the Global Underground series rolls into Pariss Mix Club (Oct 14th), where Nick Warren will be playing the set that will form the basis of his record sixth GU set. Also out in 2007.

With all respect to your opinion, but gotta clear out some points:

1) Deepdish never played trance. been listening to their old stuffes and new ones and they never tend to play trance eve! ...
Q: Define trancE!!
2) as 2deep Quoted the CD was influenced and mixed by sharam's set in Dubai. And What Sharam plays is so similar to GU29.
3) I know that Deepdish's sound has changed ,but not from trance to house, they've become more commercial.

that's all..
p.s I'm lovin this GU29 ,i think GU29 > GU toronto. Some dirty tracks are in there.

lol
toronto n00bs pwning themselves.
you just have to look at the tracklisting

Paul van Dyk Featuring Wayne Jackson - The Other Side (Deep Dish Other Than This Side Remix)
16 Bit Lolitas Vs. Motorcycle – Deep Breath Sedna (Dave Dresden Mash-up)
Armin van Buuren feat. Nadia Ali - Who is Watching

thats gabber!

there is a reason people have started calling them sleep dish.
i respect the fact that you like them....just don't talk music unless you have a clue.We dont go to guv here

I don get what you'r trying to prove, first of all ya i knew that those tracks were originaly trance, but the remix that was chosen in the CD is house, so obvious.
I don really know what you are posing to. If you think DD is boring, that's fine. you'r not the first person that call them sleepdish. lol
And what does this whole thing have to do with goin to guvernment?

Posted by Dj Nacht on Oct-17-2006 23:31:

I have to agree that deep dish has gone pretty cheese now. Honestly ive stopped bothering with them.

n00b? hahahhha, as if buddy....

you could not be anymore arrogant.

1) i don't step foot in guv more than twice a year....
2) progressive house does not equal trance...if you actually listened to the album you would realize that the version of who is watching is nothing even remotely close to a trance song.

Your post honestly made me laugh dude...."just don't talk music unless you have a clue...we don't go to guv here" Could you be anymore amatuer in this assumption? You were actually half way to a decent argument with your track references but than made yourself look like a complete idiot with a childish attack to end it. "oh, they're from toronto...they must be noobs who only go to guvernment and don't know shit about music" hahahhahahhaha....thank you for giving me my laugh of the day. it is much appreciated!

if you want to argue about music you can come find me at the guvernment listening to some ub3r trance watching the sikk red lazzers!

I can't believe that the next GU will be Dubfire in Taipei....good city choice, but wtf? They have so many other better DJs they can use and Lee Burridge doesn't even have one GU-city album yet!! Insanity...

btw why is there a sudden influx of ottawankers here?

Posted by Zeiter on Oct-19-2006 00:15:

As jesse said it before, i wonder why no dj picks Montreal for a GU compilation...they all say the city's got an incredible vibe but then they never choose it. That's sad!

I'd like to take the opportunity to point out that Toronto has one.
