You click enter and you think nothing happened so you click enter again.

Or you click enter and get that time out page, think your post didn't go through, so you do the back button and click enter again...

yeah, but sometimes ive seen triple posts and stuff, and all with the same time stamp...

soo my point is:

lets say the time is 17:01:03 when first post enters,
since the next post can't be posted less than 20 seconds after the last one, the next can be registred at 17:01:23, then at 17:01:43, but he last one can't be registred at 17:01:63, cus that does not compute, since a minute contains only sixty seconds... So it would get another timestamp than the first two..

Sooooo my question is then, would it be the procedure you posted that comes to in to play, whereas u push the enter button several times? I mean, you would have to be pretty lucky to hit the post button at 17:01:00, if you know where i'm trying to get..

OR am i just poking the tip of the ice berg here, could it be that there is something much, much more bigger behind all of this?

I'm thinking The Matrix here, where the cat goes by that door twice... Is enferno involved in the double post mystery?

You see seconds? I only see minutes. Like 17:00.

I dunno then. Everytime I double/triple posted it's because I did what I described. Maybe other people double/triple post for other more interesting reasons.

Haha, you so totally edited your post. So I'm editting mine (2 ts or 1 t?). Yes, it's all obviously Enferno's fault. Ban him!

If you try to double post, as in push the enter button once, going back, pushing it again, you'll see a page that says

vBulletin Message
Sorry! The administrator has specified that users can only post one message every 20 seconds.

Soooo, you get my 3x post problem here?

edit: oh and yeah, its one t i believe.. editing.. yes it is..

Are you pmsing today or what? I'm not protecting him, goof. I just thought you sounded a 'lil bitchy in your post and since I usually sound a 'lil bitchy in mine, you reminded me of me.

nah no pmsing, just i hate to see how 'fun' it is when everyone agrees and moves/post/agree in mass...so i'll move against the grain, be one of those to not agree with everyone..it makes it more fun for me

edit: It's definitely the server.

Users don't have the ability to force a double/triple post.
