We need a Tiesto link asap. I am tired of reading about these awesome sets Tiesto has been playing, but we never get a change to hear them.

Posted by KrissO on Nov-19-2006 02:51:

God, that set looks so awesome!

Posted by Synthesia on Nov-19-2006 09:23:

Awesome TL indeed!! This is what I like seeing from him. Saw Tiesto play here a few weeks ago and over the summer too, and looks like an entirely different style . Lucky bastards up there

get used to it, because it happens all the time with his sets quite a while now. and i dont expect it to change in the future ..

Tijs' tracklist crew have pretty much all of Europe covered... so they archive all of his shows, not just the recorded ones.

So, does anyone know his crew? I will pay for these sets. I do not live in Europe and want to hear his sets. Tiesto is my fav dj and its sucks I cannot listen to him anymore.

Here is something funny, it might be a strange concept to you and the rest of the internet world, but most people who like the look of his tracklists or think there could be some worth in GOING to a gig (of all the places) to hear his music... it might something you may consider instead of whining like a girl that he doesn't like the idea of sharing his music with prats like you sitting on the computer 24:7 who don't leave their bedroom for downloading 100 DJ sets a week.

I'm one of the people who put together both playlists from this weekend (its nice to get recognition around here as usual no comment there)... and i can say, you won't get these sets... because they don't exist. Most people making the list are writing it into their phone.

And before all you haters jump on that last sentence, it beats the fuck out of standing their like statues recording a 100 minute video clip of Tijs walking around in a square box like the remainder of the front row during a gig.

1. I suppose you've not stopped to consider the fact that a large percentage of the EDM audience posting on websites such as this aren't of age to attend club nights / festivals, and subsequently their only means of being exposed to what their favorite producer / DJ is actually performing is by hearing recorded livesets.

2. LOL @ wanting recognition for sitting at a liveset and recording a tracklist in your phone.

hoho, MB does deserve some credit. not from every1, just from the people who need/want the tracklist, to keep up with tiesto. i'd like to see every once in a while (once a month perhaps) what a tiesto TL looks like. but not more than that. its not a bible to me. so he can have my recognition, but i must be honest; not more then that. he wants to make them his self, dont forget that MB ... nobody askes you to do it

about asking for the sets; i live in the NL, the native country of Tijs. but the only time i saw was at senstion white 2006. belive it or not, its impossible for me to see him a couple of times per year (or even; yearly).
a) its too expensive, on behalves of tickets, travelling, hotels (cuz he doesnt play at my home club around the corner every year)
b) he doesnt play in my neighbourhood. i wont travel 200 kilometers for him to see him playing, and then, travelling back that mile-age when i have to get home 7 am in the morning
c) ... more reasons

i do get your point MB. your right on that. but for most people, its impoissble to see him, keep up with him live, etc ....

yes just like i said "here is something funny"

ha ha... ha.

yeah sure there are underage posters here. People may act like they're under 10... but i doubt the average age of TA is under 18. I also seriously doubt that if you REALLY wanted to see Tiesto, it would be a problem to find some fake ID to enable this to happen in countries with stricter age controls like USA for example.

I am well aware sites such as this one only encourage tracklistings to occur when the set is shareable... such is the nature of the internet and everybody's harmonies... you might also notice i'm not the one copy/pasting from my website - where I couldn't give a fuck if Johnny Colombia is unhappy that 10 shows in Europe blew up this summer and he didn't hear them... I keep that business off this forum.

Its not really my problem if somebody who keeps an eye on what i do, moves it over here, and creates messy topics like this one is it?

When you're at a gig - you go to enjoy yourself. Its a party. And different people party in different ways. I'm not dressing up in drag, launching myself at people from a podium, or dancing on the ceiling. I'm just interested to have more than just a memory of each show I attend. Seems like there are enough people in the world that are similar minded to me to continue what we want to do on a website that "permits" it without condoning it.

Regarding point 2 - you are invited to any gig of your choice with me, and we'll see which guy is standing still the most, OK?
Hopefully then another one of your pre-judgements of me and my hobby will be easily forgotten

It takes about 5 seconds to scribble some shorthand into an open SMS screen.. last time i checked most trance tracks were over 5 minutes in length... its not so difficult math.

hey look guys im a internet geek standing at a wall and writing every fucking track down the dj plays - every misstake also (HQ 3secs too long open).

Posted by Thierry on Nov-20-2006 23:46:

What an idiot MB is. Like Maestro said, what if you live in a country that he barely visits or a city that he doesn't go to?? You think everyone on here would rather listen to the sets on their computer than go to his gig live?? And nobody asked you to put the songs into your phone so don't be looking for recognition. There are a lot of ppl that do it because they like to do it and don't ask for thanks from ppl on message boards.

whenever i copy&paste download links, setlists or cuesheets i mention the poster or the message board from they came as a common courtesy...

It's been fun.
