PS3 for sale

Hey everyone,

My buddy has 3 PS3's he's trying to sell:

One 60GB PS3 $900

Two 20GB PS3 $800 each

The funniest thing I saw was when I was leaving my house, someone created a one of those lawn signs on the side of street that sticks into the grass saying they had a PS3 for sale and to call them haha...

WTF is going on here??? Individuals been campin' out at stores for 24hrs or more trying to get their hands on one of these.

So people camped out in the f'ing cold to make somewhere around 10 bucks an hour?

Haha, in shops it costs 500 and 600$. Or your friend want to sell them for canadian dollars? Then i understand, otherwise no. Who will buy videogame console for 800$ if he can buy it in shop for 500$? Whatever Nintendo Wii is the best and only for 250$!!! PS3 supports HD, Blue Ray and want twice more than Nintendo. I think everyone have DVD player so they don't need DVD movie playing feature on console. But not everyone has HD panels to play it in natural resolution. I guess Sony Playstation will lose battle with Nintendo Wii.

The reason is cause its 100% sold out. You can't buy in the store anywhere in the world. There is very limited shipment that comes in maybe once a week it that..

and unless you have time to camp outside for hours..your not getting one.

You could easily sell it for $1,000CDN. I could easily sell mine for that right now. But i'm going to wait till its closer till Xmas when ppl are scrambling at the last minute to get one.

And if you tell me no one is willing pay that much, just take a look at Supply and Demand.

The supply of the PS3 is so limited that people would pay Thousands for a PS3..and they already have!

it's canadian dollars but I agree. a lot of people who bought them thinking they could sell them are getting screwed and sony announced another shipment dec. 8th too right?

yeah..but it'll be just as limited to as before. There will be a shortage until Spring of 2007. Just like the 360 did.

Luckily for me...I didn't have to camp or anything to get one. I bought both of mine online for retail price.

The worst case scenario is that I make $100-$200 profit on each one.

moms and dads who go through hell and back to get their kids presents like PS3s should be shot dead.

take those $1,000 you're gonna spend on a stupid piece of hardware that will have your kid spending another $1,000 for the games alone and months sitting in front of a TV... and buy your kid a trip somewhere exotic... a vacation in Accapulco or some shit...

That's true..but i'm referring more the then under 18 kinda kids. Plus, you have to remember that most people are going to be selling to Americans.

I guarantee you there are a lot of American families who don't have the time to spend time with their kids, so they make it up in materialistic ways.

It looks like you don't need another job, you can buy rare (limited) thing and sell them with 20-40% profit. I wanna earn money like you. But in Ukraine it won't work, noone will overpay, they'll better wait to buy it for lower price. That system can work only in countries with really reach and lazy people. I saw on Amazon some people sell musical CDs Limited Edition in price 3 times higher than it sold on the same Amazon! I early thought about that idea.

You're fucking right! All that American way of life is killing me, it such differs from the other world. And smart people can earn money on Americans. People have to feel like they need the best of most innovative stuff to be happy in our society! If I can use that to my advantage then why not. I'm not scamming or exploiting anyone, so there is nothing wrong with it!

Right. Noone force them to buy things a few times more expensive than it costs in shop.

Woohoo. Anyone want to buy one? It came to $760 after taxes and shipping.

Will sell for a decent price...but don't rip me off as I want to make a few $$$ haha.

I saw a bunch of them in a future shop just today...just sitting there...no crazy rush of people going to get them...hmmm...maybe this store just got them later then everyone else....I doubt it though

consoles are a waste.. a true gamer only needs a pc!!!

not the case. you can grab them in asia no prob. I think they even came out a while ago there. someone posted on another board i frequent that their mother got them one a couple of months ago.

problem was the first shipment to north america was smaller then expected.
