jp8000, using arps and delay?

how do i sync the arp and delay w/ cubase?

Use the 'tempo' knob in the arpeggiator section to get the JP at the right tempo. If you hold shift/exit while adjusting the tempo knob, the actual bpm will show up on the display.

Just turn on the Midi Sync in "MidiSw" menu.
It will leave without efect the tempo knob.

Wow....thanks for that! I always wondered how the heck I'm meant to measure the bpm on the arp.

Gawd.....I can't believe I didn't know this!

even with the effects on when i record a pad it is totally in mono.

hmm...you guys should read the manual...it says basicly everything about the synth...I never new it as an internal 12 band eq and that you can check out the parameters of each noob and slider with out changing them...and many more...

I'm not at home right now so I can't check, but there's a setting in the menus that let's you set parts 1 & 2 to record out of outputs 1 & 2 in mono (so part one out 1/L and part two out 2/R) or record in traditional stereo. In the menus I think the options are called Split/Dual.

kane is there an option to choose beetwen mix out/parallel in the JP, but once I noticed the same as you and it was due a bad converter (2 rca to 1 miniplug). take care of that at least in my city these type of things are cheap and bad as hell.

ps: the option is under PFM Common

tried these out and its still in mono. checked the manual and it doesnt seem to cover this. im using an audiophile 2496 soundcard so the midi is going straight into that and the 2 jack cables (red and black) are going into the 2 jack plugs in the soundcard. i thought this would automatically make it stereo.

Posted by mysticalninja on Dec-19-2006 20:14:

jack plugs you say... red and black cables? sounds like rca... ur suspoused to be using 1/4" inch

sorry was talking shit last night was tired. i used to have phono to jack plugs but since i got my audiophile 2496 its phono to phono. and ive got 1/4" extensions for the jp8000 which then run into the audiophile.

Posted by sterilis on Jan-18-2007 19:09:

anybody know anything else about this or use a similar set up to mine:

cubase sx
audiophile 2496 soundcard
jp 8000

the mono recording is starting to piss me off as when i record it into the midi its in stereo but as soon it gets recorded to audio its in mono.
