why is it that 200 people can get evicted from the cricket and it barely is mentioned whilst 150 kids (of which prob 10 got in a brawl) is made to look like the worst thing since 9/11?

the reasons behind the brawl carry with it different marketable commodities. race riot = news. regular riot = less so. surely youre not surprised by this. at a time when multiculralism is raising questions all over the world, combined with the media's natural affinity for plugging/creating race-related issues, its common sense there would be more media attention given to the latter.

and yeh the cricket didnt get as much coverage as the fights yesterday, but thats how the media here work, its fucked.

and just for the record, it was much more than 10 people, and the fact that they used chairs etc etc, makes it just a bit worse than being ejected and arrested for being drunken and disorderly

like i said..why dont you get out of here and go to your country of origin..which i can assure you isnt australia. i got no problem with aussies..i have heaps of aussie mates..and its more to prove a point..im aware of how the media works but it only serves to prove that we are in a country where the ones of anglo heritage love to beat up any story which is race related though when they're "own" cause chaos (like at the cricket) it isnt even mentioned.
