Round 2: TOTY 2006
Round Two Ends January 19th at 6 AM GMT
Group A
Group B
Final round to start immediately after.
The only track I liked out of the remaining ones is Arisen.
Voted for BT The Antikythera Mechanism. I'm not even that keen on it, but I can't stand the thought of any of the other shower of shite on offer being crowned the tune of the entire year.

I went for BT and Arksun. Antikythera Mechanism wasn't even the best track on that album, let alone best track of the year, though. Arisen was also only good. Where are the best tracks we're supposed to be talking about?

Cape Town - Proglifter
Out of the choice we have.......
no love for nostalgia? i thought that was rather nice.
went for exactly in the other one but looks like BT has run away with it.. pretty silly outcome really since people only seem to be voting for it because they don't like anything else in the poll. hardly representative of tune of the year if it does win..

i see where youre coming from but i think when it comes down to it, it should be a matter of quality not popularity. say a dj sammy track rocked the dancefloors all year...would you want it representing the year overall?
Wow, BT got a lot of votes in the last days

| Originally posted by isoterra just it seems to be leering towards 'least hated tune' than 'most loved tune' right now, which is a shame |

| Originally posted by isoterra if he made a track worthy of being hammered throughout the scene (& not just in cheesy downtown student haunts) then i'd see no reason why not. the fact that this probably isn't going to happen makes it a bit of a pointless anaology.. |
There's no need to even argue because RapidFire is totally correct. This isn't Rocking Dancefloor Song of 2006 is it? It doesn't have to be a club song to win Tune of the Year.

I think that the best way to do this would just be to have a single "track of the year" thread and have everyone list his favorite track, although that would probably get unwieldy with so many replies. And at the end the tracks could be listed in order of the number of times they got nominated for track of the year.
Just a thought.
And to cut out all the chatter, everyone could put his "vote" in big yellow font or something, so that it would be easy to scan through the thread and tally up the votes.
