backpacking...

i backpack'd thru-out europe for 2 weeks...

staying in spain, france, belgium and holland...it was a good time

i want to go back again but now for longer...let's say 6-8 months and in more countries.

i dont think i can afford more than 3 months there with my current budget...so i have a couple questions:

where can i work (legally/illegaly) to have money?

is it true that after 6 months EU immigration hunts you down?

what could i do to avoid this?

any advices?

You need a work visa if you plan to stay longer than 6 months, however that's in the UK. not sure about other European countries.

Good indicator that you might not know what you're talking about.

Off-topic: I like that Victor Hugo quote.

you have to find some small business that doesn't require much papers...but it's better you be secure and go back to where you really belong

i always have said "stood" in that case

and i "stood" in hotels, so half (if not most) of my money was spent on them...that's why 2 weeks

i'm willing to sleep in hostels now

Grammar police say that's a big no-no.

a lot of hostels let you pass out in the lobby for rates cheaper than a bed...I payed 15euro/night in amsterdam for a bed and was pissed when I found out I could've just crashed on the couch for E10 instead

as for work, u can always find jobs around that arent on the books like hostels for example.... u work for a few hrs a day for free rent and what not depends on the hostel
i know of people who do fruit picking for a few weeks aswell... bar work/waitress is the easiest to find around most countries.... its a whole lot easier if ur an eu memeber not sure on the laws for working permits ect.
Its highly unlikely immigration will hunt u down after 6 months, most countries have limits of how long u can stay, some are up to a year... and its so easy to cross the border for the weekend and then return back again...

as for advice dont plan anything because everything fails...

Typical Mexican

Illegal working...

Sure most countries would be fine with giving you a work visa so long as you apply off for one. If your in the UK you'll earn a lot however the cost of living will be high.

As people have suggested bar works one of the best, however I'd suggest you go to an Industrial employment agency and go for night shift work in a warehouse as it's easy and quick money. If your lucky enough you could get in about 1600 a month. I'd suggest you go work in one country for a month gather your funds then sit down and enjoy the other 6 months you have as a holiday. That way you won't be sitting in place thinking I better get working or I'll be off home 2 weeks.

Is that a threat you little common vagabond?

Bradley Murdoch is locked away you know or you could get that bloke from Wolf Creek if he exists?

I stay in a hotels these days as I like going into hotel bar and upsetting everyone. I most certainly will be going to Australia one day.

There's only two which come to memory.

Peter Falconio and his girlfriend who were help captive then killed by that Bradley Murdoch guy. Bizarre case that one Falconio's missus managed to superhumanly get out of pair of handcuffs.

Then there was one with some girl who got pushed off a bridge or something.

You wouldn't catch me venturing into the outback anyway, I'm a city person I can't stand the countryside and the backwards people who inhabit it.
