Although I don't agree with the thread starter, I do have an issue with the mods.

This past week we had a thread about a game. The first was deleted (presumably due to NSFW photos), the second one was deleted, for what reason, I have no idea.

A third thread was made by me asking why the other one had been deleted, to which Neo suggested that if there was a question about why a mod has done something, you should PM them, then he closed that thread.

SOOOOO I did as he asked. I pm'ed him more than 3 days ago:

PM'ing you about the game thread.

Why did it get deleted, and why did you close the newer one?

Also, can you please recover my cheats.

It's really irritating when people go to the effort to write out long responses and someone just deletes it. Not to mention, I STILL don't know why they were even deleted/closed.

Thanks.

Looking at the tracking, I know that Neo looked at it a while ago, and STILL no response.

What is the point of PM'ing mods with a problem relating to them if they are just going to ignore it?

This is really frusterating me.

Yea, you have a modding job to do, and I respect that... but when you don't tell anyone why you do what you do, and it clearly is something that people would like to understand (apparent by the THREE threads made about it), it would be wise to address it. How are people going to know what to avoid in the future?

Avoiding the problem is not going to solve anything, and does nothing but piss members off.

P.S. I REALLY don't appreciate threads being deleted when there have been relevant and helpful posts that took people time and effort to contribute. If the thread is getting out of hand, why not just delete the inappropriate material and CLOSE it?!

Theresa, why didn't you save your work in Word? That would have been ideal. You should have known that if the 1st thread was deleted then the following ones would have been deleted along with your hard typing ( which , yes the gamers appreciated ).

-To the thread starter.... , wtf dude? Are you all the ALT's?

Maybe Neo hasn't gotten back to you because he is :
1-busy?
2-ignoring it thinking you'd forget about it
3-doesn't care?

I do, however, agree with Theresa though. Shouldn't all threads have a reason visible to the forum as to why they get shut down instead of just *POOF* gone!?

Do you always save every post you make in word? And no, I didn't think it would be deleted, given that there were no inappropriate photos.

If you are just going to ignore me, then why tell me to PM you in the first place? That just outright pisses me off.

Busy I can understand, but PM'ing me a response like "Don't have time right now, but I'll get back to you", takes 10 seconds.

P.S. I *DID* save the cheats... I am trying to illustrate a point here.

sorry theresa, i am going to reply to your message, just been a tad busy with work last few days.

and trancepunkk, thanks for that considering the mod who suspended you talked over the matter with you in pm and decided to let you off your suspension early.

You don't have a clue either so you should feel like you're home.

/root p0wns you all!

No, I don't save every post. But my posts don't usually take me more than 5 minutes to type out. When I'm actually having a debate or my posts are mega long, than yes I do...in fear of something happening to my computer in mid posts, or a thread getting deleted.

Hey I'm on your side here, I do want to know why things get deleted without notice, though with this I do see why it would be. a thread about a thread getting deleted is what it turned out to be, and it wasn't really necessary or they didn't want anything to do with the game on the forum. I don't know...I want answers too.

On the flip side, Wicked Neo is also quite considerate. Neo banned me for 2 weeks after I posted a porn pic in the "Snakes" thread.
I kindly asked him to reconsider my bannination cause this was my first time and such.
He said he'll think about it, and let me off in less than a week.

I don't see the sense of saving forum posts, in Word. Unless, you're obsessed with cOr, which is entirely segregated from other TranceAddict section, since none of the posts in cOr reflect onto your profile's post count.

If theres a discussions I'm having that is good, and I like what I'm saying, I'll keep it. I might need to refer it later on. Why I save them is no concern to you, so do 't worry about it. It does make sense considering the amount of closed threads we get when things get out of control.

In that case, mods should just delete the posts that are causing issues in the threads, instead of closing the thread. If it's too much work for them, then that's too bad. It's not fair to the thread opener to have their thread shut down, because of lowlife scum who choose to ruin it for everyone else.

Exactly. I thought this was TranceAddict.com, not a grand jury's testimony.

lol !Omega.

Not that I take it seriously, but I feel the same as Theresa and Orbax. When I take a decent amount of time to write something of some importance, and it gets deleted...I do get upset. Your posts Michael are usually no longer than a sentence or two, so you wouldn't care if they get deleted or not. When mine are a line or 2, I don't give a shit...
