Lee burridge... Guetta... I'm there
So much for the pvd, zabiela, rumours.
How gay is that, rumors of Sasha, JZ, PvD, Sander K, and what turns out is some Mark Farina and David Guetta.I was really looking fwd to Sander after his set at seven last year but oh well,I figured it'd be hard to bring these guys in so close to WMC. Guess I'll just hit up Digweed at Karma instead, better venue IMO. I would like to see Lee Burridge though.
Sorry, we could not live up to the rumors
There's always next year.
The hidden treasure in that line up is DJ Three... That is, if you like tripped out, funky, deep tech-house/proggy tunes. This will be his first time in Texas.
Lance

Nice line-up. Who the phuck is Dj Three?

How gay is what? At least some people are working their heads off to bring talent during a week where almost all artists are booked for WMC.
Respect to all of you who are making the Austin scene grow...

I was excited when I saw Burridge and then collapsed as I continued to read on only to find one of my favorites...DJ Three.
Lance, are Burridge & Three going to be upstairs while Farina, GKs, Love are downstairs? Or vice versa? Any idea on how long these two guys will have to deliver the goods?
Folks, you do not want to miss DJ Three! Had the pleasure of catching him recently and it was hands down one of the best sets I have heard in a while...

Even though I wish I could toss JZ & a few people too far off the radar to sell any wristbands into that line-up, it's damn good as it is. If I was still up in St. Louis, I'd be lucky to make it out for a comparable group of shows over the course of a semester.

nice work, lance! been reading rave reviews of three by west coast TA's, so really looking forward to that and getting a few DJ's out of the way before WMC. it'll help free-up a little time on the miami schedule
Texas should be getting their JZ fix soon. Him and Nic F are going to start touring together soon. Sort of like a Delta Heavy. They are going to be traveling across america in a bus. I think their show in Miami is going to be the first, give them an idea of what to expect and what to add or take away for the tour.

btw, here's the article:

| Zabiela & Fanciulli Young guns James Zabiela and Nic Fanciulli announce new DJ partnership article taken from djmag.com -- words by Terry Church Two of Britains best young DJs have announced a new partnership for 2007 that will see them follow in the footsteps of superstar DJ duo Sasha & Digweed. James Zabiela and Nic Fanciulli will launch their new partnership One+One at Miamis Winter Music Conference, and will embark on a worldwide DJ tour that includes a gruelling leg around the USA on a tour bus. Sasha and John Digweed infamously were the first DJs to take to the road like rock stars when they travelled around America for their Delta Heavy tour in 2002. James and Nic will do the same, covering the length and breadth of the States in a bus, and will play back to back together at every gig, with up to five gigs planned per week. Following the US, they will tour the UK, Asia, Australia and Europe. "Even though Nic and I are relatively young DJs compared to most we've been touring heavily on our own for a few years now, said James. So when we did a quick tour of Australia and Asia last year we decided that it's much more fun to go with someone else! Ive always wanted more hands in the DJ Booth and now I have them, we'll be using the Q2 Dual DJ which will allow us to independently cue things as well as play with FX units, laptops and CDJs of course." Nic revealed that James and him have formed a special bond in the DJ booth. He said: We both started off with the same musical background and as time went on we developed our own styles. When we put them together it works well and we seem to compliment each other musically. The pair plan to release a CD on Ministry of Sound records to showcase their One+One partnership, which will coincide with the world tour. Normally when making an album I panic about getting things done but this has been a totally different process, said Nic. I've really enjoyed it; James and I bounce off each other and help one another out if the other is struggling. Im so looking forward to getting this tour on the road." |
repost about the one+one going down. but worth it for those who have A.D.D. on TXTA
