| LAWLER CONFIRMS 2007 RESIDENCIES Steve Lawler has confirmed two residencies for 2007 in Toronto and Los Angeles, the latter his first residency in North America since Twilo. Lawler, recently named the "king of house music" in Toronto by nightlife media, has confirmed he will perform four times in the city in '07, such is the demand for his appearance. Meanwhile, Lawler will also play four times at The Vanguard in Los Angeles. Lawler states, "I haven't committed myself to any club or even city in North America since my residency at Twilo in New York. I have been waiting for something that feels right, and now is the time, as both Toronto and L.A offer great clubs with great sound systems and, most importantly for me, discerning crowds that understand me musically" The residency in Toronto begins on Friday March 16 at This Is London, but will rotate different venues and locations in the city rather than being tied to one venue. The following night, Lawler will return to The Vanguard in Los Angeles for the first of four parties in 2007. Lawler states, "I am going to bring something special to both these cities, making sure the venues look different to usual and bring in my own support act. I will also commit a lot of time in the studio to making exclusive edits and intro's for these gigs. Viva 2007" After the launch of both residencies, Lawler then hosts his annual Winter Music Conference party on Wednesday March 21 with Lights Out Miami at Twilo. He will be joined by M.A.N.D.Y., Behrouz, Audiofly and Clive Henry. Tickets are available in advance from www.wantickets.com and are priced at $30. Meanwhile, Steve Lawler's Viva Music record label goes from strength to strength with the huge success of 'The Warped EP' by The Presslaboys, the third release on his new digital-only label. Viva Music's upcoming release is 'Sombatiki' by Andre Oliver, already championed on BBC Radio 1 by Pete Tong with two consecutive plays. Forthcoming Steve Lawler dates in full: Riviera, Madrid, Spain (February 24) Milleyna, Lazio, Italy (March 3) Fire Water, Brancaleone, Italy (7) V Club, Vienna, Austria (9) Shindig, Newcastle, England (10) This Is London, Toronto, Canada (16) Vanguard, Los Angeles, USA (17) Lights Out Miami, Twilo, Miami, USA (21) Viva Harlem Nights, The End, London, England (30) Circus, Liverpool, England (31) Related Links: www.vanguardla.com www.thisislondclub.com Steve Lawler Links: www.djstevelawler.com www.myspace.com/stevelawler www.vivamusicstore.com www.lightsoutmiami.com |

lol. Lawler being a resident to the city of Toronto.
I thought residency was to the club, not the city...
Ahhhhh, I'm so glad this is the year 2004! Imagine if it was 2007, and Lawler was playing that minimal shit, instead of the dirty, sexy, tribal beats we all love so much?
See you at Systems Oundbar!

Freaking awesome news.
I just wish he would play some harder stuff, vis-a-vis two years ago.
Now for the obvious: can't wait to see what other clubs we can see him at besides TiL
Best news I have heard all day...now at least I will have four parties to go to this year.
