Do you trust the Internet?
simple question. do you trust the internet? are you worried someone is tracking where you're going, or logging your keystrokes? or looking at what you're looking at?

i would only worry if i were doing illegal things...so no, i'm not worried.
Why would anyone care where I go... the same damn sites every day.
I trust the internet. I don't trust a single damn one of it's users, including myself.

Internet is definitely not trustworthy. Everything is logged. logs live on forever. Even if destination does not keep logs, source may. YOu have no idea how easy it is to trace one's steps. Heck, I can even pinpoint with a pretty reasonable accuracy your whereabouts. Even software like "Anonymizer" no longer mask you. You are tracked on the first hop (that's from your house to the nearest router from your ISP). Anything inbound/outbound can be intercepted and captured. So. Yes, Internets IS serious business. You better believe it that big brother IS ALWAYS watching you. The question is whether is what you're doing warrants further investigation. If NSA is wiretapping phones, think how easy it would be to wiretap internet communications, where everything is in digital format, which can be sorted and analyzed within short period of time. Unlike voice communications that you have to listen to to get the message. Even if you use encryption it can only take you so far. Sure you can encrypt your drive but you cannot encrypt the data on the way to your system. Using specific systems, as someone pointed out earlier, it is completely possible to capture your entire session - with all the content and use it for whatever purpose - be it in court or for malicious acts.
some stuff to make the hair in the back of your palm, errrrm., I mean your head stand up:
