Would you want to be famous?

I'm sure that part that goes together with "famous", e.g. - "rich" needs not be mentioned.... I think most of us wouldn't mind being rich.

What I want to ask is - Would YOU want to be famous? I'm not talking about Armin or PvD sort of famous - they are famous in relatively small circles. I'm talking about movie-star like famous. Like Paris Hilton, Brad Pitt, Britney, etc...

Considering you could be insanely rich... but only if you were famous. Would you want it?

Before you jump to answers... consider this:

this is a hard question to answer. i am not someone who likes to be noticed in a sea of people but if it made me rich then i probably wouldnt mind it.

also consider this. the way you treat the paparazzi and the manner in which you shield your life also contributes to the way the paparazzi try to get pics of you. if you are just a closed person but pose for the cameras when asked and what not you dont really have a problem. its when you start to cause a scene and what not that it becomes a problem.

i wouldnt mind being famous if i was a successful let's say business woman or owner of a compagny i made or ...even a writter but never like a singer or actress or whatever

no way. i prefer being anonymous and unknown and unspecial.

fame just leads to things like divorce, sex tapes, ugly snatches, fucked up boob jobs, drug overdoses, and ridiculously ugly puppy dogs.

hell yeah!


If only because I could regurlaly get pissed off at the paparatzis and sometimes beat one up

I wouldn't mind being famous, I think it would be sweet. You'd get a lot of free clothes, drugs, and women...so really what's the problem here?

No way.

I guarantee you if I were famous (in the manner described in the OP), I'd end up killing myself.

I prefer anonimity.

The lack of privacy would be a bitch. Then again I'd be able to buy my privacy and all financial troubles would be gone. Yeah, I'd be down to be famous.

The richest people around are business tycoons who are not as famous. So becoming famous is not a requisite to become ultra stinking rich.

I wouldn't mind if it was fame associated with inventing something new, or actually accomplishing something in life that no one else has, but as far as being famous like an actually celebrity...no thanks. I like being the simple small town girl, dumped in a big city.

Absolutely not. I'm not even famous and some ass licker changed my myspace URL. Imagine if *everyone* knew who I am. You know how many more asslickers would try to mess up my life and murder all my famous websites about me? Being famous is just an illusion we all feel like achieving at some point in our lives because it's a way to be remembered or more permanently embedded in history, and thus live on, after we die.

No, I wouldn't want to be famous.. Maybe in a very very small circle of people, but I don't want everyone to know about everything in my life. And I don't mind not being very rich, I'm ok as long as I can get along and of course buy something cool every now and then.

I'd very much like to be famous (and rich). The paparazzi wouldn't be much of a problem either. Since I wouldn't care, pictures/stories of me would be in abundance, hence lowering the value of such materials, hence them leaving me alone for the most part. You never see rockstars create a big fuss when they do drugs and whatnot. It's because they don't care, so neither does the media.

That's another thing that bugs me. Happiness is always relative. Ours is a society where success is making money and acquiring material goods. If you're so rich you can have whatever you want, then you no longer have serious objectives, and you no longer have barriers to surpass. I think having about a million dollars would be perfect for me. You just invest it and the monthly interest gives you the equivalent of a good paying job. You get a good place to stay, you're ensured to have all your essential needs (shelter, food), you've got enough for a couple of yearly getaways, but not enough for crazy mansions, designer cars or anything extravagant. It means you'll have the freedom to have any occupation you want regardless of how much it pays. You get to set your own objectives outside of the boundaries that society usually imposes.

i wouldn't mind being famous... but i would want to have the money for big time security if i were famous (due to stalkers, crazy people).

Everyone knows who he is, but he's not hunted by paparazzis wherever he goes and whatever he does.

ok back to topic. no i do not want to be famous, nor want to be ultra uber rich. i don't want minimum wage fry cook money or google's net worth type of money, but more like an athlete's salary. well not a-rod / soriano / any other overhyped mlb player like adam eaton, but more like some mid-tier special guy. make a couple of million a year, donate some to good causes, such as foundations, UN stuff, etc, and spend the rest on whatever. i don't want to be famous, because i don't want to be hounded, stalked, or wrongfully photochopped by the Sun or Enquirer.
