Smoking ..umm..something So who follows Cricket ?

...prolly not many Americans. But I'm sure guys from UK and Australia do. Cricket world cup is currently taking being played in the West Indies and there's an Official World Cup thread in the sport's discussion section. Already a lot of exciting stuff is going on with teams setting new records, death of a famous coach (ok that's sensational, not exciting ) and what not. Don't see many people discussing cricket...except for Ian and a few others

An interesting point. Some hockey skills may indeed be interchangeable with cricket. Though not many

their captain is an aussie bloke from adelaide

and the rest of the team is mainly indian/pakistani/west indian immigrants Then again, the Irish team has 3 aussies who've married irish birds & lived there for a long time, and the english team actually has an irishman

financially I dunno, I tipped India pre-tournament to win it but I just think their bowling isn't good enough. I know he's erratic, but Sreesanth would've been a good inclusion, and is Pathan in either ?

Posted by smakmagik on Mar-21-2007 08:33:

....

pathan would have been an option instead of sehwag, but he s found his touch with the hundred now, and the only other replaceable player is agarkar, who is quite shit a lot of the time, but sreesanth is so erratic too. if only pathan was on top of his game bowling wise, we would be just about perfect.

LMAO!

A fair few folk in Oz would refer to Mr Howard as 'Mr Sheen.' (An advertising campaign, for cleaning products, nothing to do with politics). I couldn't find a pic specifically of 'Mr Sheen' (the advertising entity), but apparently the same brand is known as 'Mr Clean' somewhere else.

So I give you:

Our most loved (read as: hated) Prime Minister:

And, the (far more respected cleaning product) Mr Sheen (Clean)
