Has there ever been a trance track that made you cry, and why?
I was chillen with an old friend the other day spinnin records,.. and he said that one of the tracks I threw down made him cry a bit.
I asked him why... and he said because the tune was filled with alot of memories of past raves, memories of his x and great parties.
I kinda joked with him and told him to lay off the
, cause that might be doin it.. But he was serious about it.
The track was Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Ferry Corsten Remix) that did it for him.
Has this ever happened to you guys? Or has there ever been a trance track that made you cry a bit?

no song has ever made me cry but there are songs that i have heard that mean a lot to me. mostly because they represent something that was/is happening at the time in my life.
Back around 98' i believe it was.Robert Miles-children i believe it was. Also many other trance and trance influenced songs.Just because the sound is so beautiful.
i almost shed a tear for this.
Cass & Slide - Perception (Vocal Mix)
You can see forever
Look inside of your mind
Find a sense another wonder
Just release the fears you left behind
Feel your way through the darkness
Guide your soul into the light
Swim into the open water
Drift on the tides that you may find
Find your soul in the sunrise
Look around you can see it in their eyes
Be as one together
Rise up as the emptiness subsides
You can see forever
Rise up together
Search and you will find the answer
If you look deep inside of your mind
not sure about making me cry at least at the moment, but closes is humate - love stimulation (pvd love mix). y68 too

Ya, I was upstairs.. I cant believe I missed this.
Thank god you took video of it though Rizen..
Guys, dont get me wrong, I dont mean like ball out crying... but like a track that has so much feeling to it that it makes you tear up a bit.
Oh yes, many times! The one I remember the most was in 1999, listening to Lost Witness' "Happiness Happening." I was obviously shedding happy tears but it was a true awakening for me, not to sound too cheesy or anything ;-)
I dont think music itself has ever made me cry, but certain music, listened to at an emotional time, can.
The only time that comes to mind was when I was heading back to france after my father passed away, at night somewhere over canada, I was listening to Sasha - Airdrawndagger, and I started to see the Northern Lights. I've made over 10 round-trips to Europe from LA and I've never seen the northern lights, except for that time. I dunno but I felt somehow it was a sign...even though I dont normally believe in anything like that...
I think I played magnetic north and cloud cuckoo ten times over because they fit what I was seeing so well...
I took a photo into the pitch black at the beggining, and though it doesnt show much compared to what I could see, its something to remember the moment by....

That's still an awesome pic. I've been dying to see the aurora myself. Very lucky.
There are quite a few tracks that can make me cry. These tracks don't even have any words but the way I hear the music, I interpret the tunes into words, feelings, and memories.
"WORDS" by PVD
This is probably my all time fav CD cuz it brings back memories of the deep feelings I had during my first EDM club night/morning.

Mine has to be when I was with friends durning the Moonshine over America Tour out here. I think it was 2000.
Oceanlab was here, Justine Suissa and Above and Beyond performing live.. I think some of you remember that wherehouse.. One of the parties where it got so hot in the rooms that sweat welled up on the ceilings and dripped back down on the crowd..
needless to say alot of people got sick.. it ruined my glow in the dark Green "TECHNO" shirt.
In all of that though I found my peace hearing Justine Suissa live sing Beautiful Together. All the candyravers and people were dancing and singing together... was really pretty moving. I felt joy,.. I didnt cry though, just felt really extremely happy, almost did though.
Happened again last year when Above and Beyond came back out to 1015. They played Sattilite and No one on earth... The whole mainroom was singing and dancing and moving.. same feeling.
Its really cool when you see others enjoying and singing the music you know. Expecially when they all sing together and for that little brief moment theres nothing in the world thats ever wrong in the world. I think thats what my friend was trying to express to me the other night...

Ah my old friend Jerry...
I remember when I got this one signed by him way back when...

I almost forgot... usually travelling back my friends and I always have great conversations on the way home. S.F. is about a hour away from San Jose, usually my SUV is packed with people, close friends and stuff.
Lately, coming out of 1015 reminds me of those old days.. where the first thing youd reach for is a cigarette and your sunglasses.
Almost all the weekends on the way home my friends and I watch the sunrise, bumpin trance on the 101.
Those who travel home from S.F. to San Jose know what im talkin about...
I know what your talking about those old PVD tracks TSG. For an Angel & Words are some of my all time favorites.
