anyone else get the feeling that...
...wmc isnt going to last much longer?
i dunno, just the whole thing seems to be getting worse and worse every year. it just seems like everyone is trying to pump as much money in their wallets before its over.
the only good thing (for me atleast) to come out of this conference was sander van doorn. thats it.
nothing is exciting anymore. everything is too much of a mission. and even if you forget about that and still try to have a good time, you really cant cuz the djs suck. i cant believe how many "top" djs sucked ass this year.
i dunno, maybe im just getting too old for this kiddie shit.
Indeed, I'm getting the exact same kind of feeling! Except for the part about SvD of course
Hardly any trance this year
and what little there is was by the same big DJs as last year that play over and over again at home already
I'd like to see more of the upcoming European ones doing shorter sets; more of the people we don't normally get to see. Labels should bring their young talents instead of relying mostly on the "old guard." But I guess this is a business first...
i didnt go this year, but just reading all the reviews of crap venues, shit crowds, firemarshall problems, and most importantly, bad music, i doubt ill bother making the trip down there again
I disagree. I thought Sasha & Digweed at Mansion was great. Danny Howells at Pawn Shop was outstanding too. The Radio 1 party was loads of fun. Besides Ultra which I left early because of the rain, I've had a great time again.
Those that left early missed an outstanding set by Erick Morillo...so dope how he kept the crowd fired up throughout all the rain. Gabriel & Dresden at Pawn Shop was INSANE, too! So much energy...Josh Gabriel is the man. Threw down sick track after sick track. We need an ID of his encore track.
funny how no one complains about free shows...
Andy Moor, Darude, Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Benny Benassi, David Guetta, Above & Beyond.....all were free and all were excellent!
i saved for Ibiza. I heard WMC 2005 was the best and last good year..tru?
And is it tru its been raining almost everyday there this year?
Yes lots of rain this year.
The only thing I hate about WMC is the prices...
DJs being "off" is just unnaceptable @ WMC IMO but it happened a lot this year.
However I've seen some of the best shows of my life this year... I see many WMCs in my future.
I guess Im lucky for attending the best parties this year with a lot of luck on avoiding the rain ( except for saturday )
this place fuckin blows. ill never come back to miami

Funny how a great majority of the house parties bombed...but I heard NO complaints about the trance ones.
In your face, assholes.

i've said this before...but i will repeat it again. ALL of the free shows were incredible -- Above and Beyond, Andy Moor, Darude, Ferry Corsten, and the private Paul Oakenfold...
it's unfortunate to hear that the expensive parties sucked, but the free ones were simply incredible
3 out of 4 parties I went to this WMC were beyond words....
Armada night was simply incredible... Armin at pawn shop was amazing, just the vibe alone was worth it and don't get me started on everything else
and Sander van Doorn at the fifth was a lot of fun too!
For me, this was the funnest WMC i have experienced, but to each their own I guess
This year was great, but the rain screwed ultra up. The only thing thing that pissed me off was that this year there were so many kids there all shit faced on acid and were pushing people to get up front on the main stages.
I wanted to go into the house tent, but it was so full, everyone was touching each other. If one fell down, they would of became a piece of the ground. We all had a great time, otherwise. Miami is one of my favourite cities.
i had a blast. I guess it is all in what you want/expect. my expectations were met and exceeding in some spots
id come back

Deep dish @ Space was one of the best parties i've ever been to... everyone in there was dancing non-stop for 10 hours
Hahaha. Just the response I'd expect. You guys love me anyway. Yes you do.
That is all.

I came @ 12 there, and they made me wait. Then when I tell them I had a table they told me I had to wait. Thats fucked up. And they were charging an arm and a leg too, and then they told me they were all taken even though I RVSP, becuase I knew I wanted to sit through this event. Not even space, God I love those Drink Passes
. PvD was the least day I wasted money, and got wasted. Its time to get passed trance, and thank god I satarted listening to other sound, becuase those were the parties that made it. Sander tore the patio at space, so did Yoshitoshi night right after I left Twilo. Morillo could have been probably the best party if it wasnt for the rain!!!!

Spacemasters, its pretty funny, because Im hearing from the other side of the isle ( The house crowd ) That their parties sucked and that there was no vibe on those parties. Big turn off on a lot of them..
