recommend me rock/slow stuff such as...

goo goo dolls - iris
zeppelin stuff
muse - anything from them
foo fighters

any era is fine, im looking for nice easy to listen stuff or stuff with strong guitar riffs. Not keen on radiohead at all so don't try that but I know there's more chance of me finding the odd cor whore who knows something than using the music discussion & being told rock is dead because xxxx killed it or something

gracias.

coldplay are fine and the verve have their moments. oasis aren't my style, i'm not a fan of the gallagher brothers. I'm just looking for something, but i'm not totally sure which way to go, and a lot of what i've seen doesn't appeal to me at all, but i know there is stuff that does Not heard of guster

I'll check the samples out, orzone, thanks

REM are good too

I also like (at least one song from)

+1 on both 3EB and Death Cab. I still say Guster, though they're a tad different than all the rest listed so far.

U2's The Joshua Tree album might be the definition of what you're looking for.

If you really like the soft stuff... maybe David Gray, Jack Johnson, Ben Lee, or Ben Harper? They're really chill, but quite good.
