Cheers, hope you enjoy it! =)

Downloaded it...

...am giving it a listen at the moment.

I'm usually listening to psytrance and I like the first track! I don't mind other genres and what I've heard so far certainly has me moving in my seat!

Can't give a quantitative nor qualitative summary other than nice! I certainly like and it's not something I'm going to be deleting.

I'm glad it got you moving in your seat. That was a big purpose of the mix, thanks for listening.

Have given it a couple of listens now - seat moving has progressed to arm moving. Played it to a friend and she absolutely adored it!

Very good - the mixing is schweet and the tracks flow well into one another. Definitely keeping this.

Thanks!

some good fresh and older tunes, downloading

lol

For the last 20 minutes I've been obcessing over the first two tracks: Lost World and Why? They sound absolutely amazing together. Lost World is this popular epic trance track and Why? is an uplifting vocal trance tune. I keyed them and they aren't matched up according to the camelot wheel, but they still sound amazing together regardless of key.

This is making me debate whether the perfect mix has to have harmonic mixed or not, or maybe somewhere in between.

You could have put another tune in the place of Lost World, but I don't know if you could have found another track that would be harmonically compatible and also equally as compelling to your audience.

MoN-SooN: I'm looking forward to hear what you thought of it. I will have a listen to your latest as well.

Beatflux: Haha, what did you key them to? According to mixshare they are both 3A but I haven't keyed them myself yet. I do agree that they go very well together however. And thanks for listening!

Grabbing this one now, thanks

Mixed in Key said "Why?" is 6B.

A query from the RapidShare server said Exactly is 6A.

I guess that makes sense.

since when is a tracks key a number, all mine are labeled as Am or Bm or D#m

ive never seen anyone label a track with the key in a number code, idk hahaha

hmmmmmmm interesting, but so i guess you can label it in a number code or the actual note, ima stick to mixing in key by the notes hahahaha. i totally understand what its saying, but i like to think my ear is pretty well trained when i do drift out of key,

This mix is fantastic!

I came to work today where I had a lot of paperwork to do (normaly enough for 8-9 hours). Before else, I got conneceted, came here, downloaded this mix and started playing.
It has a good flow and excellent bpm for listening while work. Now I'm at around 40 mins in the mix and I've finished all the hated administration.

Thanks for sharing this and to make my life easier with it!

Cheers,

Caine

Dj Caine: Thanks for the great feedback, I'm glad it helped you with your hard work. Nothing beats getting finished with boring stuff way earlier than expected!

aLviNx80: I'm happy you enjoyed it!

Listened to this last night, and fully enjoyed it mate

Got any more epic sets?

Posted by MoN-SooN on Apr-07-2007 09:34:

very entertaining mix, had great time at work listening to it. I knew all the tunes, but I really like them all so it is a cute compilation for me. And the mixing is flawless! First transition is adorable Keep it up!

Downloading as well...

I liked the set for its transitions and mixing style. Very good quality tracks with professional sounding mixing. It seems like you put good time into this mix and it shows. Sounds like you've been mixing for a while because the transitions are almost flawless with beatmatching right on point.

The only problem I have with it is that I don't like the style of trance. It seems a bit bland. There is some uplifting and psy, but nothing too outrageous. That is not to say it is a you problem. It just means that I have a different taste in trance. Be that as it may, it was a good set, and if it was the trance I listen to, I would like it even more.

Please e-mail me with HOW you mixed this. Did you use software or mix it with hardware? Share with me your style and I'll let you in on my trade secret...

Go Trance!

Thanks for posting,

lol at your profile's fav producer, wtf?!?!

Posted by DanielD on Apr-08-2007 13:46:

Sushipunk: Thanks mate. Sorry, I have no other epic sets atm.

MoN-SooN: I'm glad you liked it! Maybe the tracks have been too "hammered" by others but I like to mix some more catchier tunes from time to time, LOL. BTW, I downloaded your set as well, will write a little review soon.

foil25: Thanks for the review. I know what you mean with the sound. Many of the tunes are very alike in terms of energy etc. I mixed this with a pair of CDJ-1000Mk3:s, no software involved. And I hope there is another "danield" which you've put on your profile, hahaha.
