Do you believe in GOD????
I thought it would be intersting to see a poll about this... and it would spark some interesting debate.
I am personaly in between of bien a full on athiest and a agnostist, i definatly dont believe in religion or that there is a GOD as we like to think of it. I do believe that there might be some force that keeps a balace in the universe.
No, Athiesm (I believe that nothing we would want to call God exists.)
No, I do not believe there is a god.
I have no problem with religion at all, and I do see it's purpose. But I personaly do not need it in my life.
hmmm interesting
catholism - is it a cult?? what do you think...
They say prostitution is the oldest profession. And I say that the church is the oldest multinational corporation.

agnostic right now, but leaning more to atheism. however, i don't want to limit myself and completely cross off the idea. the universe is huge and so much is unexplainable, so the possibility exists. i'll wait for conclusive evidence

as much as i believe in atheism....i also think that anytime anything REALLY bad were to happen, people will always say something along the lines of "oh god" or "please god..." or something like that.
i know those were the only words that came out of my mouth at the exact moment when i lost control of my car during a really bad car accident that i was in a few years ago.
whether thats force of habit or our true belief coming out....i dunno.
thoughts? do any of you atheists catch yourselves saying "oh god" in serious times of distress?
but yeah...im still an athiest. lol
that satisfies
do you believe in a god
that tells you lies
...
or do you believe in me
i once ate zoomers and talked to GOD so yes i do believe in him now

I think both ends of the spectrum are ridiculous. To not believe in god is just as stupid as believing theres some supreme being watching over all of us. God is you. If you ever studied the humble beginnings of major religious movements you could see that their message was a noble one. Over time religions become corrupt as the spiritual aspects took a back seat to ritualism. Naturally, the relationship between state and religion didn't really help the situation.
All religions essentially talk about the duality of man, and give pointers on how to be a strong, emotionally developed, spiritual, objective person. None of it is supposed to taken literally, it is up to us to find a meaning that is unique to us. I choose not to subscribe to any one particular belief or religion, I have my own beliefs based on things that I've experienced and knowledge I've come across.
However, I pity atheists, who think they have a leg up the rest of us because they believe in nothing. What a contradiction, to believe in nothing is still a form of belief, just a bad one lol. We all need to believe, its as human as breathing.
maybe. havnet put thought into it in recent years. im sure ill come back to it eventually.
grew up catholic. went to catholic elementry school and highschool(run by priests!)
baptized, confirmed n all that.
cant say I believe in the whole church business. I can see it being good for some people but overall...

they play trance in Heaven.
Ya, I def believe in God...always have, always will
And i do need Him in my life.
I'm not one of these slappies that condemns anyone who doesnt tho. Thats your choice.
For ppl who feel they dont need religion in their lives, i def respect that as well, as I do any opinion about anything
Wanna try to clear up the church from God thingy.
The overall grand scheme of religions are corrupted, as pretty much everyone assumes.
But, that doesnt mean GOD corrupted them, or intended them to be that way. Cause He def didnt. Thats just the greed of men manifested.
So please dont blame God when you lash out on religions being corporations of manipulation...cause again, thats MAN
Anger and resentment towards religious institutions is justified, no doubt, but not towards God imo
100% athtiest. The way I see it, if there are different religions all over the world believing in different things completely, than religion in general has to be bogus.

N.America eats completely different food than ppl in Asia, who eat different food from ppl in Africa - does this mean the idea of food in general is bogus? It does STILL give everyone much-needed nutrition ya?? And this'd apply to EVERYTHING (politics, way of life, language and so on) |
I really don't know what to think when it comes to this topic. I was brought up catholic and used to be very religious but I'm more agnostic now. My biggest issue with the existence of God is proof. I need scientific proof, faith alone doesn't cut it for me.
