Love Poundin' Sensation Windmill Sessions 04 April (deep prog/trance)

WINDMILL SESSIONS 04 APRIL

Easter greetings people. Latest mix is here! Another warm, deep, proggy set for you. The flow is nice in this one so check it out if you can

Room 101- Saved By The Bell
Masque- Feel Safe
Digital Witchcraft- Fingerpaint (terje and david sense remix)
Arthur Deep- In Motion (michael and levan remix)
Cassino and Laben ft. Marina Puglisi- Lasting Memories (snake sedrick dub)
Rob Curtis- Hollowed Out
Rob Curtis and Jerome Robins- Starkids Theme
Solar Stone- Greenlight
Micah- Acandavi (chris micali remix)
Mike Brin- Seems Different
Benz and MD- The Sundowner
Sonorous- Glass Garden

Room 101- Saved By The Bell
A great intro record. Pure aural bliss from start to finish, encapsulating what these series of mixes are all about.
Masque- Feel Safe
Tight, key-changing atmospherics from Masque keeps the deepness going.
Digital Witchcraft- Fingerpaint (terje and david sense remix)
Beautiful and serene, this track is extremely soothing. Terje Bakke and David Sense havnt changed the original that much-definitely a good thing.
Arthur Deep- In Motion (michael and levan remix)
Wonderfully fresh tune with a warm ambience, subtle melodic builds and a quite beautiful breakdown,
Cassino and Laben ft. Marina Puglisi- Lasting Memories (snake sedrick dub)
The mix gets a little darker, with this deep, incredibly atmospheric tune.
Rob Curtis- Hollowed Out
A grooving proggy number that progresses the mix and complements the flow.
Rob Curtis and Jerome Robins- Starkids Theme
A very poignant track which takes the pace up a notch. Lovely vocal snatches in this one.
Solar Stone- Greenlight
An under-rated gem from Solar Stone now, spoken vocals, warm sweeps and a great groove!
Micah- Acandavi (chris micali remix)
Chilled and subtle melodies in this chugging tune.
Mike Brin- Seems Different
This is a very large tune! Big room bassline action, over which there is wicked melodies.
Benz and MD- The Sundowner
As the mix nears its climax this tune goes straight for the juggular. Warm, melodic and bassy with bags of energy.
Sonorous- Glass Garden
To end is the seminal Glass Garden. The chilled but still euphoric atmosphere is superb and it still sounds fresh to me now

Give us some comments if you have a listen. Thanks

I cant get enough of your mixes as of late. The mixing flows so well and the track listings are full of such choice music. M fav on session 4 is the "Green Light" by Solar Stone. Thanks for upping the bitrate also.

Be Cool!

this is a class mix mate. the flow is great and the progression as a set is perfect - i love the build up of atmosphere in the tracks then the bigger melodies start to creep in and ending with glass garden was inspired!

this may well be my favourite windmill sessions, it definatly had a journey feel to it and i loved all the vocal snippets, there were some awesome melodies thrown in as well.

Wicked Greg mate, I would say its pretty good music for working to, not too obtrusive but memorable nonetheless. Cheers for the feedback

Coolcool Im glad it flows so well for you, it has always been my intention to make sets which run smoothly and complementarily with no jarring tracks. Greenlight is just a great groovy tune, I recently "rediscovered" it and it sounds so fresh after all these years. Good choice!
As for upping the bitrate, I honestly cant remember doing that!! Haha, pleasant surprise.

Thanks for the feedback man, it makes my day!

Son u are a legend, such a great review. thankyouplease!

I think this mix just came together really well and organically, some great tracks on there which all seem to complement each other. Its just a thrill thinking and speculating on how I was going to arrange them

Glad you appreciated the progression and atmospherics mate, thats what all mixes should deliver in my opinion. Thanx again squire.

It's nice to know some DJs put thought into their sets! I like how you made comments about each track.

DLing...

It's a lazy Sunday night, and I am sitting here with my Stanton phones on, deep into this set once again. I just wanted to stress how much I enjoy this particular set. This one really hits home for me - track selection and mixing. Slow...deep...progressive. Just what the doctor ordered. Time to get lost in Winamp plug-ins, the music, and a few beer. Thanks for taking the time to lay this one on us, man.

Its a pre-requisite for me definitely, each track has to be considered in terms of how it relates to others and such.
The comments thing really gets my interest when other Djs do it, it gives an insight and shows the thought that went behind each track, also it gives a chance to praise the tracks themselves individually-which I feel is important.
Look forward to hearing your thoughts man!

WOW! Cheers man, those comments really mean a lot! I know how you feel, that is exactly how I listen to music-with headphones for the most deep and immersive experience
Cheers again
