Vibrasphere's Archipelago album from last year was by far my favourite trance album of 2006. Their diversity and will to renew their sound have always been their major advantage. Just by listening through their three first album reveals very clearly how far they have come.
Exploring The Tributaries is their first album to not be released on Digital Structures. It will instead be released on the well respected label Tribal Vision.
Their sound have also taken a slightly new turn but always maintaining that wonderful warm sound you can hear in all their productions. It's going to be tough, very tough, to match Archipelago but the few samples of this new albums already tells its going to ooze of quality.
erosion is the tune rickard opened with here not long ago
those 2 samples sound great! still can't believe they did an electro house rubbish style tune...
Hope there's more soft stuff like tierra azul

Those two sound good but Im not gonna pass judgement till I've heard the whole album. Anything 'experimental' thesedays has me worried

ensueno - nice!!
Can't wait for the album. Both samples sound amazing, beautiful music.

im still listening to archipelago plenty
From what ive heard of this so far it looks like its going to be very, very good. I would love to hear a more up-tempo re-work of erosion as well..

I was a bit surprised when I saw this thread. A new album already?
Ensueno sounds so good! Extremely beautiful... They never seem to produce anything dark though. Not the stuff I've heard anyway. Guess it's not their style... But they've truly mastered the warm sounds, just like Hamid's saying.
Erosion is not as nice, but that's probably just because I'm not in the mood for this kind of music. It's still really nice though, and that says something. It's... hypnotising.
Will get this album!
Edit: Hold on. After having listened to Erosion properly... oh man, it's nice. I'll DEFINITELY get my hands on this stuff.

I take back everything I said about worrying about experimentalism.
I want this album. Now.
Vertical sounds like a bloody monster
Not bad, not bad at all, but I honestly thought It was going to be far more experimental than this, .. more minilogue-esque.
Not going to give a full judgement untill I hear the whole thing thou, but there's definately some potential, judging from the samples I would like to hear some remixes, archipelago style.
thx for the samples hamid
edit: upcomin' GTG guestmix should get interesting
was hoping to hear more of the dark apocalyptic futuristic style of "Seven Days To Daylight" but oh well. still sounds promising. wont make any final judgements until I hear it all.
Listened to all the samples ...
I don't know. I don't think this album does it for me: too electro-y sounding. The one exception is 'Erosion' which is a bit slow but sounds very hypnotic. It's good, but I don't see anything close to 'Morning Breeze' or 'Seven Days to Daylight' in terms of quality.
it sounds like they're making housey tracks too, along with the psy prog trance from archipelago. I like what i hear so far, for the most part
I'm gonna check the samples in a bit but it ought to be good
From the samples it sounds good. More melodic than the previous one i like. I never understood what was so special about archipelago. I mean ok, "seven days to daylight" was good but nothing special, a typical intense psy-edged kick with a simple 3-note piano riff which i think i've heard it countless times before in the 90s. Anyway, production-wise, these guys are the masters, but musicality-wise, nothing special. The last album sounds good, a bit markus schulz-like i would say! (well markus schulz in his beginning when he was good lol...). Anyway, i have to say that the majority (if not all) of todays EDM lacks emotion or direction. Where are all these emotional themes, tear-jerking lead-lines, nostalgic pads and trippy samples damn't!? (i know i sound like an old-man now...).
