8 hours of Armin is awesome but I just know a huge chunk of his set will have little progression or emotion. I think 4 hours is his prime number. 2 hour is too short, too much like his radio show. 6 hours and he gets on the verge of completely losing the the momentum. 4 hours seems to be his perfect #. I'd rather see him with a 4 hour slot with good talent surrounding him to make for an insane night.

Just my two cents.

Dave

I'd like to see Danny Howells for 10 hours at Giant Village.

Guys!!! Read my original post!!!

Armin Van Buuren (8 Hour Set) with Special Guests...

That means, there's other DJ's... Who? I dunno. maybe an Armada night with Markus?

I know a few people that went to ARMIN ONLY and they said it was the best set they have ever seen him play. He played 9.5 hours too

Regardless, if they are advertising it as "ARMIN NIGHT - 8 HOUR SET".... the line up is gonna suck obviously.

That would be interesting... or Danny Tenaglia (since apparently he won't play unless it's 8+ hours)

i was so pumped after last year, waiting patiently for GIANT to announce the date

thinking that they would probably have LAWLER, SANDER, HOWELLS, AMESZ, & a cup of others who would make this GIANT a one to remember... but WTF are they thinking

ill cross my fingers that they'll still have a HOUSE stage w/a sick ass lineup

hopefully they'll announce the "Special Guests" within the next couple of wks, before the prices go up

Even though I am an Armin fan, it is kind of odd that they dont have other genres represented at one of Giant's biggest shows of the year. Appealing to more people = more money! DUH!

For those people who dont like trance, they are immediately turned off by Giant Village. Even if they bring in some house acts later, people's initial perception of it was negative.

Anyone have any idea as to what the area will be like? Are they just going to shut down the surrounding blocks and set up a stage at the intersection?

So if he's playing for 8 hours on the only stage they're going to have...what are the special guests going to do? MC?

Posted by DjWoody on May-05-2007 01:22:

I have a feeling it will be more than just one stage.
