New to Trance
Hey Everyone
Iam a new member to this forum and also a new member to the the trance scene ha! Anyways I think Trance is a very superior, pleasent genre and like to it years to come.
All I want to know is what do you think is the best trance tracks you have in mind / your personal favourites. Maybe you could recommend some songs that got you into trance in the first place or make trance best at what it is.
So can anyone offer some songs or albums which are good. I appreciate it
Anyways If anyone wants to to know Im only 15 so... lol
Age Of Love - The Age Of Love (Watch Out For A Sean Tyas Remix)
Do a search. There are hundreds of threads like yours already. Hell, I bet some of them are even on the first page.
check out Jonas Steur- Castamara, great track for new trancers imo.
Whoa fast reponce on this forum!
Yeah Ive done some research and finding trance songs but most are hard to find or hard to get. I heard TRANCE was at its best in the early stages of its time which makes only downlaoding the popular anthems easier.
Ill keep sampling and also looking up all your guys suggestions.
Thanks
Yo
For a start, i would suggest you not download any songs illegally (at least don't tell us
) and second if people get angry don't take notice and IGNORE it
Being new i reckon you check out stuff like Transa, Orkidea, Mirco de Govia, Solarstone, Above and Beyond, Darren Tate and maybe even Ferry Corsten.
Personally sorta what i started out like but if you what to delve into more deeply, this would be the place, because there is more stuff to come by and most of it is OLD and sounds a lot different.
That in my opinion is what trance is.
Depends upon what kind of trance your into or looking for. Genre 'labels' can sometimes be a little misleading imo, to me anyway who was expecting different sounds from certain genres only to be pleasantly suprised.
Alot of people it seems are really getting into EDM through trance, then finding all sorts of new sounds by accident on tracks not necessarily trancey, but still with a kind of trance vibe to them or feel.
Here are some recommendations from me, a person like yourself who recently got into EDM through trance (back into I should say, im quite old at 31
)
Deadmau5 - Faxing Berlin
Aril Brikha - Room 337
3 Colours - Morning Dust (Thomas Sagstad Monday Morning Mix)
The Screetch - The Screetch (Dusty Kid rmx)
Rex Mundi - Perspective
Rico Soarez, A Bennett, Jenry - Light of Hope (Jody Wisternoff mix)
Albert Vorne - Formentera What (Gareth Emery mix)
Optima - Kinetic Storm (Peak vs JPL rmx)
Robert Nickson (pretty much anything but especially Encounter and Helix)
Signum - Syndicate
Just some recent purchases by me. Well except one, cant seem to buy it atm till a re-release comes. Give them a preview listen on somewhere like Beatport. Not rigidly trance.
As for compilations. Buy Global Underground 013 Ibiza mixed by Sasha if it turns out you like alot of the stuff I said. Its not fast paced, but it is excellent. A real soundscape.
Anyway, regardless of genre labels, I hope you find something you like in these lists. Myself, I have found countless amazing tracks I would normally have not known about through this board.
Post a few tracks that you enjoy now. If I have an idea of who you like, I can suggest more artists and record labels.
Yep, there are differents genres of trance that all have quality songs but you wont necessarily like 'm all. Depends what you like, tech trance, prog trance, uplifting, vocal, ...

check out rank1, atb(if ur into chill/relaxing trance), Aly & Fila, dogzilla, and armin van buuren.
Ignore Dogzilla.
Derrick May, Juan Atkins, and Kevin Saunderson make techno and house.
