First big club gig tonight!

For those of you in Miami, I'll be spinning at Pawn Shop Lounge from 10-12 and hopefully longer. The DJ booth is carved into the front of a MAC truck, lol. I'll be bringing my lappy with Torq and control cds. I'll post pics soon! If you're in the area come by! Say my name at the door for free entry. (Justin)

Congrats! Let me know how you like the place. I was supposed to spin there a few months back but the deal fell through b/c travel expenses were high to book the trip last minute.

Hey all. I had my gig last night as an opener from 10-12. They didn't start letting people in till around 1030 or so, but it let me get some one on one time with the system (2 cdj 1000 mk2s and a DJM 600). They used ch 1 and 4, so I plugged my Conectiv box into 2 and 3, booted up, and was off. Let me just reiterate again for anyone doubting, Torq is the real deal. I've now used it at various events large and small, and it's really a great option.
The booth is set inside the front of a MAC truck so that was cool. My friends started showing up around 1030-11 and gave me great support. It's a huge rush playing on a big system, that's for sure! Kept the mixer just in the 2 reds zone, which I find to be the sweet spot for the 600, and everything sounded great. This random hot girl came up to me when I got out of the booth and said my "levels sounded great", lol. (Trying to hit on me? )

Anyhoo, great night overall between the DJing and the free bottle and drink tickets.

Well, she told me later she works at Guitar Center and produces House and some Hip-Hop on Logic, and she said "oh you're using Torq" when she saw my laptop, so she knows a thing or two... nevertheless she was still random and hot.

I played a lot of good opening funky and deep stuff to get people in the mood by artists like Kris Menace, Lifelike, Fanciulli, Francois Dubois, Dale Anderson and I ended with RYMD just because I always wanted to play that on a huge system ever since I first heard it!

Haha, no AC, but I had some monster monitors behind me. Now I see why DJs go deaf. Only used them during transitions though, then I shut them off.
