Why whistles?!!

Why in every recorded live set I hear are there always whistles in the background... It's so ridiculously annoying to hear the off beat out of sync whistle. Why oh Why??!!

Actually because when people go to festivals and shit they bring those annoying loud ass whistles.

when I use to spin at my residency, that was one of my pet peeves..... the guy that always would blow that frigging whistle, and not even in time with the beats, just sit out there and blow a friggin whistle....
