Hardstyle...Hard Trance...NRG??
Just seeing how many people are still into the harder music these days...Anyone listen to Hardstyle, Hard Trance or NRG still??
No.
Lab 4's last album was my last hurrah. Haven't seen nor heard of much to spark my interest since.
im a hardstyle/hard trance fan. i love it!
Some hard trance is alright.... Fullon psy does the job much better imo.
every1 knos hardstylez ees 4 t3h gheyz.
hmm, I was thinking a lot more people would respond to this thread. Hardstyle/Hard Trance seemed to be getting big a few years ago, at least in NY. Then Tribal took over for a while. It looks like Hardstyle is about to come up again.
After the old hardtrance producers retired, I don't listen to the new ones...
And the ones who didn't retire made hardstyle and/or hard trance that was very hardstylish and with nothing in common with the old hard trance.
hardstyle must die
free road for hardtrance !

i'm partial to bouts of uk hardtrance. more the driving stuff than the thumpy stuff, if that makes sense. it's pretty mindless & not very musically gifted, but good for listening to at work when i need to get stuff done quickly
I try to find quality hard trance new releases but at the moment the scene is really quiet.
Hardtrance used to be fun. Newer stuff, hardstyle or whatever sounds shit to me.
We need Jones & Stephenson to make a (good) comeback!
I'm just wondering where the Alphazone/DJ Scot Project-sound disappeared? It's kinda difficult finding anything along those lines...the mp3-sited don't have a "hardtrance" section they only have like, trance, and then hardstyle, where's the in between?
I love hard trance and Hardstyle, Nu NRG - not so much.
Hardstyle definitely has it's place, but even as a DJ of it, I admit it doesn't belong in a car stereo for listening. Hardstyle is an experience, one that goes best in a place with dynamite sound and lighting and people willing to dance to hard beats.
I've had many friends, some who hate most trance, become fans of hardstyle after seeing me play a good set. Yep, alot of it is formulaic. Yep, alot of it sounds the same (and frankly, that's why i stopped buying hardstyle 2 years ago - everything that comes out is something i've heard before.)
On the other hand, there IS some great experimental cross genre stuff coming out of hardstyle labels. I've got numerous tracks that i've played in techno sets, and have had techno DJs come up to me wondering what label/track it was. They're response is usually "what's hardstyle" or some other confused look. But, they're good fucking tunes!

my city still likes hard style
we also still have candy ravers
besides kamui, hard trance died when marco "reverb" guardia stopped producing.
Hardstyle is for venues. I listen to it all the time, that and Hard Trance, but I will admit, the bigger the venue, the better it sounds. Someone asked where alphazone and Scot Project are, Scot is spinning at Webster Hall this Friday in NY @ Webster Hall. I have a few of his recent live sets, and he hasn't lost it. The last time I saw him was at Avalon NYC, and he threw down a insane set. I'm hoping he does it again this time.

there may not be much good new stuff but the old stuff is still the best
