To think that Ferry Corsten - Punk really sucks bigtime. Must say that dont understand what's so goof about that tune... don't hate me now!

Punk isn't very good. It's a disgrace to Ferry's name... after all these years of releasing emotional trance masterpieces under different names, he releases this under his own... I don't know what he was thinking. Why not just leave it as Funk Einsatz?

I really didnt like the original of Punk at all.

But I think the Cosmic Gate mix is ok though. Not groundbreaking, but I wouldnt skip through it on the CD.

Here's the deal.

All of the Punk mixes were pretty good, but Original is the best. It's a great song.

Southern Sun has great vocals, and is used really well in Solar Stone Mix, and Tiesto made a pretty good mix as well.

that's it. don't use hype to judge a song.

You are talking out your ass. You are trying to make a critizism out of something that doesn't exist. The record label told him to change the name to Ferry Corsten for the release, and even if it was his idea, why would it matter? Every other artist has released tracks under their name, it's no big deal.

As of a disgrace to Ferry, jesus, what do you want? After years of making some of the best trance around, people nail him for using the same formula over and over, then he makes a different track that's great, is played in clubs all over, gets alot of success, and people bitch about it, wanting the old Ferry back.

I love most of Corsten's work, but I think Punk sucks.

The melody (hard synth line) is really ugly sounding. Not pleasing to the ears at all. The only thing it has going for it, is that cool break beat halfway in. No chills in this tune, rather a chill killer. Maybe for use when you need to calm the crowd down because they're getting too wild.

Nevertheless, I think that Punk is better than Dance Valley Theme...

No, I don't think I am... I don't like the song very much, plain and simple. You like it, and so do other people... everyone should have their own opinion. But, the point of my post was more that I think that Ferry should stick to one type of style per alias... unless this is what he's going to keep making in the future (I hope not). And I thought Ferry owned Tsunami? So isn't he the boss? And I'm not criticizing releasing songs under your own name, I'm criticizing the fact that he's made amazing songs for years upon years and then finally decides to release this sub-standard track under his own name.

Maybe he wanted to make up for the lack of quality of the song by putting his own well-known name on it?

hmm..then i think i stand alone liking punk..
its a tune that grows unto you..the first time i heard it i thought it was kinda strange but after hearing the remixes and such i definitely like it..

i think you have to experienc eit a few times in a club, i used to hate it, when it first started getting poppular, then i heard it spuna few times and its just great to dance too! i mean most people dont expect this sorta thing from ferry i suppose but its good in a different sort of sense to a uplifting melodic trancer.

More seriously, with Rank1's Awakening Ferry comes back with his special uplifting sound, just hope he'll continue this way!

This is pretty crazy...I truly love this song, not to death, but its a really cool song. I also like dance valley also. I'm just a type of guy that like that style. but on the other hand, i rather have ferry make his melodic soft stuff such as tenchi and walhalla. I'll choose those over punk and dance valley anyday!
