Tiesto in Concert 8-11-07 Review

Just got back from Tiesto in Concert...pretty amazing show he put on tonight...what did you guys think? likes? dislikes? review away...

here's what i think:

WORST PART OF WHOLE NIGHT:
-getting there (that freakin traffic light as you exit to Martin Luther King Jr. street would turn green then 3 seconds later would turn back to red right away, so it was a hassle getting through)

BEST PART OF WHOLE NIGHT:
-when Tijs dropped, IMO, one of the BEST classic trance ch00ns of all time: The Quest - C Sharp. WOW that was a huge surprise and no one saw it comin, but once the main supersaw melody synth kicked in, the crowd went wilddddd!

Was fuckin amazing!!!!

This night was awesome!! My ears are ringing now and I'm ready to pass out so I'll continue this tomorrow...

how long did he play for?

Went on around 10:30 and ended at 3:30am

AWESOME FUCKEN SHOW!!! I'm still amazed! I will post a full review, pix, and videos when I wake up!!!

I knew it was coming

mediocre set overall. he did drop some classics which was nice (the quest-c sharp, and maybe some gouryella too?) sounded familiar like from his old isos albums. but the rest of the tracks lacked energy and it got really boring in some parts.
plus "in the dark" and "dance4life" are two of the gayest tracks ever created. completely killed my vibe when he played those.
the show production and visuals were sick as hell though!

pretty tracks! hah i love it! but yeah there were a lot of assholes trying to move around and i kept getting shoved around everytime i would stay in one spot. bad.

The night was awesome except trying to get in.

I was laughing at the virtual Tiesto...funny how he was trying to get the crowd pumped. Something different thats for sure...well not really, Sasha did it for Second Life.

WHAT?! I was rolling, and as much as I don't really enjoy listening to EOL track, it was fucking great!

To each his own though.

Overall I was a little disappointed. I guess I was expecting something similar to Tiesto in Concert two years ago but last night was not a concert but a full on rave. He played too many old stuff and not enough new stuff. I guess a lot had to do with the organizers Insomniac and Giant which are big rave organizers. The visuals were good but could have been better with lasers. I guess I should have been high or rolling to enjoy it more.

i was rolling on a pure of the best e ever made, which may i add, was sooo intense it got me totally floored for about 45 mins. e does not make shitty music sound good though. shitty music is shitty music. i was more into the visuals than his music. thats the only thing that somewhat kept my vibe going. not a lot of danceability. i danced a lot harder when i saw pvd a few weeks ago. the 2005 tic was way better.

oh and the whole hiv thing during the dance4life track was pretty retarded. i came to party and enjoy the music and visuals not look at public service announcements.

Umm if I played shitty music and took a poll while everyone is on the stuff, i am 100% surethat your statements will be proven wrong when it comes to 99.9% of the people. and 99.9% of those people are ones who would say it doesn't make the music better.

Beyond that, stop being an idiot and talking about recreational drug use on these boards. Mature. (the fact that you do the stuff doesn't bother me, the fact that you announce it to the whole word on these public forums isn't smart. Discussion on public boards CAN be used in courts and not just against you, but against a venue/organizer if the government wanted to go after them under the RAVE act. So be smart.)
