Taboo

I played this golf course called Taboo near Gravenhurst yesterday. I am a good golfer with a 5 handicap and this course DISMANTLED me.

But it was pretty spectacular. The views are crazy. I felt like I was in an enchanted forest the whole time.

When I was warming up on the range I started with a wedge and when I put it back on the rack, this worker walked over, picked it up and cleaned it for me. I was like, "Wow". One burger cost 14 dollars.

Overall, too much pamperage and too harh (slope of 153 for those who know what that means).

SO nice. It was in immaculate condition. All of the holes are lined with thick bush that aren't marked as hazards. So if your ball goes in there you're not finding it and you have to re-hit. I think I saw an elf.

Yea. When he goes to play there he calls ahead to make sure that no one can book a tee time for a 2 hour radius so he is alone with his buddies on the course.

Taboo is a nice course.....if you want a really challenging and beautiful course you gotta play Sequin Valley in Parry Sound.

The Marshall at Chedoke (Hamilton) always gives me, like, a 30 second tee window.

This one time at Deerhurst I came up behind two obviously wealthy older men (60's) who were cleaning thier balls (tee-hee).

What's a guy to do, I was someone's guest so I stood there getting berated by this guy, smiling, trying to make it obvious that I was sympathetic to his point. While I'm doing this, my friend has already teed up, Drived and teed a ball for me. I swing and we walk away, leaving them to clean their shit.

If didn't have to deal with these asses, I'd be happy.

The hole is one of their signature holes....its a par three and from the back tees its approx. 210 yard carry over the water. The course is just under 7000 yards from the back tees.

I've been to both courses to drink in the club house. However I don't play golf, so I can't give an opinion about the course other than it looked nice.

That is what I would have done, too. They should know better.

Rocky Crest was immaculate. And similarly, the jockeys grab your clubs and immediately scrub and clean them as well as my grips. Totally felt like a king, and it was all worth the hefty green fee.
