I have the chance to see Judge Jules live in about 3 weeks from now and i need to know if $28 Canadian is worth it. Everybody i talked to says it is. I think i might go just for the fact that when will i get to see him again. What does everybody think?
no.. judge jules should be shot, then burned, then crucified, then fed to warthogs..

Mixing skillz
He's got good mixing skillz, no comments...
He might have a few cheesy tunes in his sets but overall he is a great dj.

It seems to me that his sets are just packed with floorfillers. But I like his stuff. I have his Live @ Lush set and I think it would be worth it.
how can you hate judge jules! he rocks, if you hate jules then you must hate corsten too. ive loved jules live @ love parade since it came out then i got (i think it was) ferry corsten - summerbreeze (i dont know if that's the naem of the cd, but it was 2 cds). the tracklist was very similar
Judge Jules is an average DJ in my opinion.. he plays all the 'usual' famous stuff like Sandstorm,No Alternative,Time to Burn.. About his mixing - it's not that great 
.. It's weird with him, in some sets he does it good and sometimes it really sounds very very amateur, really like he has no clue what he's doing.. take a listen to the Essential Mix in Gods Kitchen (you can get on Napster), the mixing is terrible! Also in his cd 'Judge Jules Clubbers Guide to Ibiza Summer 2000' he had some fuck-ups (listen to the mixing of track 10 with 11)..

I am not gonna argue but in my opinion Judge is a great dj.

what?! no he doesn't. he sucks ass, trainwrecks alot, and that's only when he actually tries to mix tracks together...
from a "superstar" dj that is totally unacceptable.
you want someone who can mix, go listen to sasha, digweed, warren, seaman, howells, ect...
i hate judge jules because in my opinion.. he effectively helps to make trance into what a lot of u would say "commercial"...
i don't think the term "commercial trance" would be coined without jules oversmashing tracks a year or two ago..
not that i'm saying its bad..
but if ya wanna say that judge jules is wicked bloke.. i'm sorry, i disagree..

his mixing is good, but to me, other than that, i can't see anything good..
from what i hear, he doesn't treat his fans, or "crasher" kids very well... and his wife.. ugh.. sorrie.. angelic is also a no-no..
but out of all DJ's..
i dislike most is judge jules..
playing a track on the radio is fine.. but he overplays tracks sometimes and yea.. you know that rest

When I went to Gatecrasher the other month Tiesto was playing and it was fucking awsome. It was all going off, he had a nice pace going, then it was judge jules on next and he basically fucked everyting up and started playing some propper shite...
I try to avoid the Judge whenever possible!
He's not anything like some people make out to be, I really wouldn;t waste your time

I've seen him only once live... That was @ Sensation, and it was really great. Can't wait 2 see him liva again 29th of April.
And the mp3-sets I've got are really cheasy 2.
Hey it's not only his mixing.. he also always plays the same tracks in his sets.. always Time to Burn,No Alternative and Hi-Gate tracks..take a look at the playlist of his latest set and a set by him a year ago and you almost wouldn't see any difference in them..
p.s. Angelic is not bad though..

heh, all this controversy over if the judge is good or not. =) love to see a heated discussion. as for dj bo, just go and see for yourself if you've never seen him then you can judge for yourself. hey, you might end up liking him.
me personally, i don't listen to the judge very much and like most of you said above, he overplays his tunes wayyy too much. too much filler shit.

The Judge is the DJ everyone loves to hate, because of his mainstream popularity.
My honest opinion is he's an average DJ, I been listening to the Judge since back in the day when he use to play his trumpet in the middle of his sets, yes you read that right a TRUMPET. I recommend you go see him and form your own opinion, his sets are packed with floorfiller anthemns and your sure to dance your ass off. I just saw him last night at PASSION and he put an OK set together, I enjoyed it and so did everyone else.
I just hope for your sake he's having a good night mixing, because as a few people stated earlier in some of the other threads, he can put some right shit together, just download his Slinky set off of napster for and example of that. You can get it from me if you like djtrinity_uk
He's pathetic! In his sets he throws in so many cheesy tracks and his mixing isn't up to scratch, and even worse he is responsble for giving the world HI GATE! In Angelic he even forces his wife to sing when she didn't even want to, and can't sing to save herself! What sort of husband would do that??? He must be a very sad guy!

Anybody can play the popular tunes out there. To be good, he needs to dig deep and find the tunes that really rock you, because they are good and not been heard.
Obscure tunes are awesome because they get you excited over something new.
How many times can you hear Black Legend and still be excited? I wasn't even excited the first time I heard it.

I heard this brilliant tune in his set 1st when he perofrmed in God's Kitchen. I got hooked right away. I know loadz of good tunes that Judge played and then then the rest of the djs.

Why I hate Ariel "A9":
It may have been big at the time, but that was part of the reason why I hated it so much! It was absolute rubbish and it didn't deserve to be big at all! I didn't think it had a "new" sound, I thought it had a confused, shoddy and extremely dull sound! Anyway thanks for giving me another reason to say Judge Jules is shit!
