Solarstone - Solarcoaster (Tiësto's 2007 Remake)

Anyone heard this one yet?

You've got to be kidding me....why would anyone want to remake this track? There's really no way to make it better IMO cause it's fine to begin with. Sometimes I think they should just leave the originals alone....what next the Sean Tyas remake? There needs to be more originality and stop the remakes or remixes of old tracks.

That has never stopped anyone from reworking tracks before. With Tyas and Durand leading the pack...

How about replies like this? Can we stop remaking those too? What's next, the Mr. Mystery remake or the Mikey Mike remake? There needs to be more originality, stop the remakes or remixes of the same old replies.

WTF is wrong with Djs/Producers these days ,they are starting to become... like those people who write movies... sorry rewrite movies... there hasn't been an original movie in who knows how long... He should stick to what he is good at...

it's because they are not doing it for the people that have always liked trance and what not, but rather for the other people that think sandstorm and what not is a good song, just to get it out there in the main stream and make some more money.....thats also why at the movies you see a bunch of the same crappy comedy movies...the jokes are the same as always, plot is so ludacrisely predicable, but yeah they make millions of dollars

it's already been said like 800 times.

where in this thread?

it's especially relevant here considering this is a thread about "remaking" what is considered "original".

Posted by montana on Oct-02-2007 11:30:

where in my post did i allude that it was posting in this thread.

also, they sped up that melody like over 50% and made it work on that speed. the rest of the track (besides the patricia arquette vocal sample) is more or less Solarstone's piece.

Remixing Solarcoaster is unacceptable.

Sooo... are you guys too busy bashing or would someone actually like to check if this is even real? It just seems so very unlikely to me.

Yes, they just borrowed a few notes. That doesn't really constitute a remake imo.

Who is Tiesto?

All I am saying that there are too many remakes and not enough original productions. Rehashing old tracks is not the way to go, especially ones that were fine to begin with and don't really need being remade. I'm not joining the "hate Tiesto" bandwaggon but really, you aren't a little pissed that these DJs/Producers are simply rehashing old tracks?

plus it's more a reinterpretation of the melody rather than a direct copy. some notes have been changed & the chords have a different feel.. i'd hardly call it a remake

way out west - blue.. that was more of a remake, kept the original feel
