Dunno Where Is Luke Chable???

One of my favourite producers of all time, Luke Chable seems to have gone missing over the last year. Apart from a few Lostep productions getting remixed, there has been nothing from him over the last while.

Anyone know if he has anything in the pipeline or what is going on?

New release but old production, i think.

I've been thinking about the same thing. Even though his latest stuff has been blippy fucking "electro" nonsense. Such a shame since he used to be so good. Perhaps when this tiresome fad is over he can return and impress us once again.

Think he's producing an album with Shiloh

That's good news. I like their collabs for the most part.

I do wish he'd get back to some solo stuff circa '04.

Chable is indeed the shaite. Hasn't he been dj'ing lately?

yeah, it is an old production.

Im not a huge fan of his productions with Shiloh. Apart from 'Oz', I dont think they are as good as some of his own work. A lot of his solo productions and remixes are, in my view, some of the best moments that progressive music has ever had.

I am just puzzled as to why someone with so much production and remixing talent can just stop. I know tracks like Swedish Meatballs, Sentrino etc are a slightly different style for Chable compared to his signature driving prog house and arent to everyones taste (especially not mine anyway), but yet I still think that they are produced to a very high standard. Think of some of his tracks like 'Oz', 'Ride', 'One Day', his remix of 'These Days', his remix of 'Blend Forty-3', of 'Cloud Cuckoo', of 'You Are Sleeping' and on and on and on....absolute massive tracks.

Like a few of you have said, I would love to hear him bring out some stuff that has his signature sound again. It has been far too long without it.

I think he has been sticking to gigs based around Oz over the last while. I havent heard much about it if he has been doing a bit of touring.

Last time I saw him was about 2 years ago with Phil K....still reminiscing about that gig to this day!

Best thing he ever did was Quest - The Shepeard.

trafik - 'your light' remix for me

plus an honourable mention to his take on gwill morris - time.. the part where he mangles the vocals & crosses over from 4x4 to breakbeat is nothing short of stupendous, i'd kill to be able to program tracks like that

i reckon we should start a petition to get him back producing...

Yeah. I have all of those. That is classic Chable right there. Amazing, atmospheric tracks, esp. the last one...love that one.

I happened to be in Mexico City on late July, early August and Luke Chable played the day that I had to fly back home. Boy was I pissed!

saw chable and shiloh play at my wee club in victoria b.c. a couple of years back....that was a crazy crazy show...

was wondering what he was up to as well a little while ago..

Posted by ekul on Oct-05-2007 08:10:

Yeh Luke Chable has been in Australia and saw him twice over the past couple of motnths

Once with Phil K, all i can say is wow, amazing!!!! And the second time i saw him it was such a poor set, i wasn't so sure it was him....

But yes producing wise, bring back the real Luke Chable!!!!

Chable himself has said he doesnt want to make anything like what he previously did, so you will be waiting a while for more "2004 bombs".

whats garn on?

Hi guys, someone pointed this thread to me so i thought i'd let you in on the news.
Basically, the prog moved to the side because the $$ wasnt going to buy me a house and support a family, + i had been progged out.

What im doing is:

TRACKER with the shiloh boys. this isnt dance music. this is big easily accessable electronic music like chem bros and daft punk and maybe gorillaz put together. the album is nearly done, we just need to record the vocals for it.. the albums name is We're Aliens.

Quest (that prog trance you guys were talking about) is signed to Armarda - i basically figure i might as well knock some little ones off that i have fermenting on my hard drive. next up is Antarctica, which is just classic monster prog trance. no nonsense or fluff. That one i just have to finish the transition between the finishing move and the outro. It's been a tinker away for ages track and i will be quite happy to get this one off.

And, other stuff is 2 commercial acts - the kind you would hear coming out on ministry of sound. One of them is done with an old friend of mine who you may have heard of before.
We'll keep you guys guessing on that!

But basically my focus is on making something of the skills that i have learnt throughout my career instead of being a chin strokin tosser id prefer to be living in a nice place with a family and nice car (car already got ) So what that boils down to is getting paid.

Some of you might say just dj but i prefer being at home and working in the studio than travelling the globe gettin caved by cabs planes and hotels!

so thats it hope it was interesting! ps oh yes, i forgot. i started a new digital label which will feature all my own records that were previously unavailable through digital shops as well as some from cheeky labels who try not to pay artists.... label is called Skyline Road.

/luke

Or how about they for once go outside the usual Armada gene pool for a remix?
