| During the early years of the ALP, the Party was referred to by various titles differing from colony to colony. It was at the 1908 Interstate (federal) Conference that the name 'Australian Labour Party' was adopted. In its shortened form the Party was frequently referred to as both 'Labor' and 'Labour', however the former spelling was adopted from 1912 onwards, due to the influence of the American labor movement. |

meh, i was an idealist back in the day...but unfortunately the best way to hurt the liberal party is to vote for the ALP.
hurt labor in the senate if you want people. thats where you vote for all those alternative parties. and god knows the dems need your vote. but vote labor in the lower house for christ's sake

So basically you've got no excuse not to vote Dems in both houses... |
but i wanted to keep it simple. plus, doesn't that depend on a preference swap? i havent seen any democrat preferences yet, though i would hope they flow to the labor party.
id vote for you.

Doing this right now and got the Q: Do you turn off the tap when brushing your teeth?
WTF!? Who in their right mind lets the water run for a couple of minutes? That's just retarded. What the fuck is the point? Never even thought of leaving it on.
Anyway, I got:
Liberal
then Labor
Sounds about right.
Democrats - Hahaha, yea right.
Greens - Errr no. Not a fucking chance in the world in voting those hippies in.
Family First - Is that even a party?
I've always been Liberal but Labor is the only other party that I may go for.
Sadly, Rudd is a bit of a sly bastard and Labor is well...shithouse when it comes to the economy so I'm pretty sure I'll go with Liberal. Johnnie has been good, but Costello will take over and I see that as a positive.
