Normally I try not to get upset about things like this...but this is just ridiculous.

The cable guy was supposed to come and connect my shit today, and he's still not here!

I don't understand how someone can be late for a job when the appointment window is TWELVE FUCKING HOURS.

And actually, it's not the lateness that I'm bothered by, it's the unprofessionalism of NOT getting a phone call to tell me he's running late.

God, adults who can't manage their time are enraging. Now I know why the cable guy is a cable a guy. Fucking moron.

I better get a fucking discount on my installation charges.

LOL, welllll I'm not *really* that pissed off about it. It mostly stems from my own impatience. But still. What the fuck. Where are these people's supervisors to keep them in check and learn them a little something about customer service?

in all fairness its probably not the cable guys fault. you can probably blame the people who dispatch or relay the information to him/her, or the people who scheduled the appointment.

im a technician and i work 1pm-9pm. i often get jobs that are due at 12pm, so the only way for me to be on time would be to build a fucking time machine. if i know im going to miss an appointment i will call ahead, but half the time i have no control over it. thus im appologizing as soon as i get to the customers house (or when i call in advance).

of course being the face of whichever company i represent i get bitched at.

Yeah well I set the appointment up a week ago. I DID say, "Where are these people's supervisors?". And, like I also already said, it's not even the lateness that bothers me, it's the complete lack of any sort of phone call to tell me, "Hey sorry, I'm running late". Very unprofessional.

Not to mention I called these fucks twice today.

Hahah..one day they just randomly cut it off. Took a week of fighting to keep my number and then another week to reconnect.

In the mean time they connected some random number that was not really connected to the house.. and then when I questioned it they had no idea what it was. This of course until Sympatico gets in touch with them to reconfigure the house line for high speed..

Then they configure the random number.. long story short. I ended up without a home phone for 2 weeks and without internet almost a month.

I was on a Rogers rampage.

Only good thing about them.. they give stuff away for free all the time. Just need to bitch enough.

Jenny - if it is Roger's call and keep complaining and keep them on the phone and you will get free stuff.

Is it weird that the only reason I want it is to keep me company now that I live alone?? There's only so much wine I can drink on a school night.

After all was said and done.. I got around $300 in credit for my ordeal. I am sure you could suck at least $50 out of them.

my rogers guy was late too but that was at the beginning of the summer when all the students were wiring up. but at least he called. so i forgave him

You're right. I heard about this. Yell at them.... the meaner you are the more deneiro in your pocket. (this is like the stage that was meant for her, record it!)

UPS once pulled a no show no call on me. To magnify this I had my boss wait at my appartment for the 7 hours. To magnify it MORE it was my x-gf's shit I was sending back to Ottawa after kick her out. So... there was a little belief issue when I blamed it on UPS. lol. HATE the brown. and unlike rogers they didn't even deliver it for free nor discount. asses
