His "bucharest" mix from I think 2002 or 2003 is still my favorite, if that's even what the mix is called, it was re-aired on JJJ and I had it on a CD somewhere but I think I've lost it, which blows because it was such a bomb ass set to listen to over and over.

One of my favorite sets, not only from him!

I know its not a live set, but Sasha's Airdrawndagger (2002) was massive!

The Maida Vale set from BBC Studios in 2005 was really an interesting couple hours of music...Ableton was kinda first hitting the scene and Sasha's set here was pretty forward thinking, remixing live and using a bunch of processed loops and stuff, and integrating some pop anthems into the mix, turning it into a breakbeat-style dance set. Pretty groovy stuff, if I might say. I had the set a long time ago, lost it, and then it took forever for me to find it again - I had trouble using the regular methods of BitTorrent and LimeWire, but a few weeks later somebody had it up on an obsure torrent tracker, so I got it now. If anybody would like me to host it, let me know.

Off the of of my head, Besides Dortmund, which was Phenominal... Zouk, Singapore is very similar.

Sasha - live @ Pure Festival, Vilnius 09.09.2005 - This is the one with his Milk/Rykketid mashup and Ada - Maps (Michael Mayer & Tobias Thomas Mix), gorgeous set.

besides the essential mix and warung beach one, is there available downloadable links for the rest? i've gotten a few but mostly new stuff and would like to hear the old classics. thanks.

First essential mix I ever listened to, still probably my favourite. If anyone knows what that ID is I will have your babies if you tell me.

/me is mesmerized, where all these sets and playlists coming from, never heard of most of them. (ie it's not the regular set of festivals, but more old school stuff from the earlier days when they didn't broadcast much)

just wondering, I am always up for a good Sasha set.

Does Sasha only use the BIR remix then? The track seems to go on for a very long time, and since it seems to change halfway through I was guessing he'd used another mix in there as well. He definitely uses more than one mix of One Earth Beat, because I have the Rhythm Of Life Mix and only the first two or three minutes in this set are that mix. It used to be one of Sasha's favourite techniques to use two or even three mixes of a track together to create a new version of the track, which was one of my favourite things about Sasha as a DJ.

no its the same, im pretty sure. the full rip that i had was about 10-11 minutes long. i remember it well cuz when i had it i listened to it constantly, and it did sound a little like sasha using 2 mixes together, but in fact its not.
